Chapter 11 - To Many Questions

Thanks for all your help on Thor I know what to do now, but I am not going to tell you :)

BTW this toke me ages to write.

Percy POV

Why?

That was the only thing in my head. Why?

Why did this go through all this trouble for me? Why torture me then pretend to rescue me? Why?

I am not important, influential, intelligent. So why? Maybe my power but they only knew about them after I told them. Or did they know before?

What are you? That is what they kept asking me. What not who.

They knew but how? Another demigod, a clear sighted mortal, a god who hated me (that doesn't narrow it down), maybe a titan or primordial.

But why would they want to make me more deadly. Wait... not more deadly less loyal.

When I joined Hydra I gave up my loyalty. I swore never to be loyal again. They think that will leave me and the gods defenseless. To Hydra, taking out SHIELD must of just been a bonus.

But who knew what I would do? And who knew that I wouldn't do it until everyone I was loyal to had gone?

Who controls Hydra?

And why do they want me?

Natasha POV

"So what do we do now Director?" I asked Fury, "What do we do with him?"

"That kid practically destroyed S.H.I.E.L.D single handedly with little or no help. He is responsible for over 250 assassination, most of which were of top S.H.I.E.L.D agents. I thought it was obvious what we do."

"I'll get the death order ready, then Sir."

"I don't want to kill him. I want to recruit him."

(A/N Really wanted to end it here but the chapter would be way too short 😞)

I froze, "What? We won't be able to control him. He's a monster."

"He is not the first person I have recruited with red on their ledger, Natasha. You of all people should know that."

He got me there but I knew this kid was dangerous, and if he decided that he was truly against us by his own choice no one in the mortal world could stop him. Maybe not even Thor. "This is different, Sir."

"Tell me, Natasha, how is that?"

"I haven't killed 267 people and didn't almost kill you. I didn't have that much red."

"Exactly, that is why I want him. He can't be in the hands of anyone else or they will complete destroy us as they will give him help, but we can mold him to be the perfect little soldier for us."

"But how will you keep him with us, he left Hydra easy enough?"

"I will promise him the same thing Hydra did but with an added bonus. I will say he can redeem himself. That we can help him. Plus he was never loyal to Hydra."

"And he will never be loyal to us either." I state.

"That can, and hopefully will change that, Natasha, else we will never defeat Hydra in this war."

As Fury exits the room as get an awful feeling he is about to do something that I will regret, extremely quickly. Something that will define who wins the war.

Percy POV

"Who is controlling Hydra?" I shout to the Fury as he walks in the room without thinking.

He looks at me with a look of pure surprize and complete shock - something I never thought I would see on the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D's face. "What do you mean? Hydra wants controls everyone but no one controls them."

"Then how did they know about me? They kept asking what -no who- are you?"

"OK, then what are you?"

"Something even S.H.I.E.L.D would not believe." I smile wickedly and pause for dramatic effect, "I am ... Perseus Jackson, Son of Poseidon and Sally Jackson." He looks completely gobsmacked, "Though I prefer to be called Percy."

"Your a child of a Greek god. I thought they were a myth."

"So did I, but what are myths, if they are not an easier way to understand the truth? As there is always some truth behind a myth."

"Prove it, and I will help you."

My eyes widened. Why did he want to help me? Me who killed the innocent to achieve a goal, that wasn't even true. "Why? Why would you help me?"

"I'll be honest with you Percy, you are just to good a prize to fall through my fingers."

"So you are just like them. Just like every other mortal and immortal on this planet. You want to use me for my power, for my ability. You want me to win a war for you."

"Yes I do, but in exchange you will have freedom."

"Fine," I sighed, I had been imprisoned for too long and old memories were starting to surface. "Now get me the Hades out of here."

"Prove what you say is true first. Prove you are the son of the sea god, the creator of horse, the earth shaker. Prove to me Cyclone."

"Someone passed Greek in school," I mumble as I close my eyes.

I focus on the ground under the table where I am strapped down. Then from it stretch my senses out around to building where I am being kept searching for the earth or nearby water and my senses reach the ground first. I focus in on it and picture it under my feet. I feel a pull in my stomach as the ground begins to rumble. I feel it move more and more, shaking the building. I hear glass crash beside me and feel a sharp pain on my arm but kept going forcing the power of the earth to crash down this building. More glass pierces my body and the movements of the ground get stronger and faster. Someone far in the distance whispers, "Stop. I believe you. Please stop." It breaks my concentration. Where is this magically voice coming from?

I surface from my mind to seek the origin of the voice and Fury is lying on the ground next to me. His arm has blood flowing from the open wound.

"You ... You can do that." He breathes out heavily.

I smile cheekily and say, "You should see what I can do with water."

He stand up wearily and walks over to me. Reaching out he starts to unbuckle what's hold me down, "Perseus Jackson, I would like to tell to about the Avengers Initiative ..."

Soo what do you think?

I am not sure about this chapter but didn't have time to write something else.

Fair warning, I have never been in or created a earthquake so I have now idea how they feel.

Avengers defiantly will be in the next chapter. I think.

Goodbye for now.
