Author's PovBy the fourth week, Hinode was able to walk around the house. His markings did spread down his chest and back. As well as up the back of his head, ending at his hairline. However, that didn't stop him.
He managed to convince his mother to let him do chores around to house.
After Hinode woke up, everyone returned to their normal selves. Kichirou became talkative again, Ako was glued to her mother's hip, Fujiko started tutoring again, and Isamu started smiling more.
Sometimes, that left Hinode alone at home. But he didn't mind. He could walk outside a bit by himself. After all, his mother wasn't there to scold him not to.
He used a cane to walk around. Hinode didn't want any help walking, so a cane was the only option.
It was in the afternoon, the sky was starting to turn pink and purple. Right now, Hinode was helping his mother fold laundry. They sat in the oe as they did it. "So, okaa-san. I was thinking—"
"No." Fujiko was quick to interrupt him. She didn't even look away from what she was doing.
Hinode sweat dropped at his mother. "But you don't even know what I was going to say..."
Fujiko continued to fold the last of the clothes. "You were going to ask if you could go visit Muzan, right?"
"....Ya"
Fujiko finished folding the last article of clothing, then looked up at Hinode. A gentle but serious look on her face. "That's what I thought. My answer is still no. That's to far, and you can't climb that wall. You'll just end up getting yourself hurt. So no."
"But, okaa-san. I've been walking fine the past few days, and I was going to use the front gate this time. I swear."
"The front gate, huh?" Fujiko placed a hand on her chin in thought.
"Well, I suppose you could go—" Hinode was about to say something but was beat to it. "BUT I will be coming with you." She pointed at him knowingly.
Hinode's eyes went wide and a giant smile appeared on his face. "Thank you, okaa-san!" Hinode nearly jumped with joy. He got up as quickly as he could, which wasn't that quick, grabbing his cane and headed to the door.
"Hold on, Hinode. Wait for me." Fujiko laughed at Hinode's eagerness. She gathered Kichirou and Ako together, and left to the Kibutsuji mansion.

When they reached the front gate, Fujiko knocked hard enough to be heard.
A young female servant opened the door, just as Hinode had hoped. The young servant immediately recognized Hinode, and smiled. "Ah, Hinode-kun! I'm so happy you've decide to come!" She let the four of them in. "Muzan-sama has been held up in his room for weeks. He hasn't eaten anything at all. We're getting worried."
Hinode look at his mother, who nodded to him as an okay. He let go of Kichirou's hand and patted his head. "Okay. Take me to him, Emiko."
The female servant known as Emiko, nodded. She got another servant to tell Lord Kibutsuji he has guest, that being Fujiko and her two kids.
Then the group went their separate ways.
When the two reached Muzan's room, Hinode could feel a darkness coming from it. This worried him even more. "Has something happen when I was away?"
Emiko nodded politely. "Yes, but I think Muzan-sama should to you the good news. The bad news, a few of the other servants have gone missing."
Hinode gave Emiko an apologetic look, then patted her head. "Don't worry. I'm sure they're fine."
Emiko gave him a silent thank you. Then went and knocked on Muzan's shoji. "Muzan-sama, Hinode-sama is here to see you."
It was quiet for a minute, nothing could be heard from the other side. Then an answer rang out. "Come in."
It sounded different from the last time Hinode visited. It had more of a dominance to it, a deep resonance.
Emiko looked at Hinode, who smiled and nodded as an ok. She quickly left to leave the two alone.
Hinode opened the shoji gently. He walked in and closed it the same way.
The room was in complete darkness. Though, Hinode could see a pair of dimly lit crimson eyes. "Muzan? Is that you?"
"Yes, Hinode. It's me."
"Why is it so dark in here?" Hinode began to walk towards the other side of the room, where the shoji closest to the garden was. "Let's open the outer shoji. There's a little light left, but it won't hurt you."
But before Hinode could reach for the handle, a strong hand grabbed his arm. He whipped his head to the side. The glowing eyes were now standing beside him. "No. I can't go into the sunlight. Not even a little."
Hinode was startled by Muzan's sudden movements. "O-ok? Well, then let's light a candle. That sort of light can't do you harm."
Muzan hummed in agreement. He released Hinode's arm to retrieve a candle.
Hinode stood there dumbfounded while rubbing the spot Muzan grabbed. The markings hurt to handled in anyway besides gentle. That hurt. I should have told him about the markings being there.
When Muzan came back with the candle, he took one of Hinode's hands and led him to the center of the room. When there, he sat Hinode down and went to sit in front of him. Then lit the candle.
When they saw each other, they were both equally surprised to see how much the other has changed.
Muzan's features were sharper than before. His eyes were cat-like, his skin was flawless, and Hinode could see fangs peaking out from behind Muzan's lips.
While Hinode was just about the complete opposite. His long, straight, black hair was down, which was rare to see. It flowed around him like silk. He was covered in bandages. Muzan could see bandages around Hinode's neck going down his body, and purple markings at his hairline. A cane sat next to Hinode's side. He also appeared physically weaker, almost frail even.
When Muzan looked at Hinode's bandaged arm, he saw him gently messaging it. I must have hurt him when I grabbed his arm. "I'm sorry for hurting your arm."
Hinode only smiled and waved it off. "Oh no, that's okay. Really, I'm fine." His voice sounded a bit strained, but he didn't seem to mind. He looked at Muzan with a worried face. "You look different. Did something happen?"
Muzan stared at the boy sitting in front of him. He took in every detail. No matter what he looks like, Hinode will always be his Taiyou. He smiled a little at the thought. "I could say the same about you."
Hinode pouted at his statement. "Ha ha, you're so funny. Just answer the question, weirdo."
Muzan chuckled at Hinode's comeback. "Alright, alright. Yes, something did happen. You could say, I was cured."
It took Hinode a second to take in the information. "Cured? Like, cured from your disease?" A huge smile appeared on his face. "That's great! Now you can go outside and enjoy the su—"
"No." A shadow covered Muzan's eyes.
"No? Why not?" Worry and confusion enveloped Hinode.
"Hinode." Muzan looked up at Hinode. His eyes glowed even brighter. "I'm not human anymore."
