Author's PovIt's been a month since Hinode had been kidnapped.
Isamu hasn't stop searching for them, neither has Fujiko. But they haven't found anything.
The downside is that Isamu has started developing the cursed markings like Hinode had. The only difference was it wasn't as fast to spread.
Sōhei came shortly after Hinode's kidnapping with not so good news.
Sōhei, Isamu, and Fujiko sat in the oe, while Kichirou and Ako played in the front yard. All had a serious look on their faces. Isamu was the first to speak. "What have you found." It came out more as a demand to know than a question.
"I've discovered the origin of the curse."
Isamu and Fujiko perked up at this. Finally, they could know what caused this damn curse and cure it. They both had hope again, something that had been taken from them when Hinode was kidnapped.
Sōhei put his hand up to signal that he hasn't finished talking. Causing the other two to quiet down. Then he placed his hand back onto his lap. "The origin of this curse, is a demon."
This shocked the two of them. Fujiko asked to question that was in both their minds. "A demon? That's impossible, how could a demon curse my son and my husband? Better yet, why?"
Isamu placed a hand on his wife's shoulder to silence her, so Sōhei could finish.
"Well, I have a theory. Demons have been extinct for a long time and I believe that a new one has been born."
Isamu was the one to speak this time. "Okay, so what does that have to do with us or even the curse?"
Sōhei sucked in some air, trying to gather his words. "I believe that your family is related to this new demon, and that is why you're cursed. Your family is indirectly responsible for the creation of this monstrosity."
Fujiko was to shocked to say a word, but Isamu became angry. "We made a demon?! Don't be ridiculous! A human can't create a demon!"
Sōhei didn't flinch or become angry at Isamu's outburst, he was calm and collected. He expected Isamu to react this way. "Normally I would say the same thing. But think about it, Isamu. Are you related to someone, who has been acting differently? Anyone at all?"
Fujiko came to with a fearful realization. She grabbed Isamu's hand in fear. "Isamu, it's Muzan! We're distant relatives! He's the one!" Tears started streaming down her face. "He's the one that took our son!"
Isamu calmed down with a sigh and gave a gentle squeeze to Fujiko's hand to give her some comfort. "Alright, Sōhei. What do we do?"
And with that, Sōhei explained everything he could. Isamu and Fujiko soaked it up like a sponge. Engraving every word into their souls. "You have to kill the origin at the heart, the demon or Muzan. If you kill him, then the curse should go with him. I don't know how he became a demon, but I will try to find out."
Sōhei then pulled out a piece of paper and gave it to the two in front of him. "The creation of this new demon worries me and my superiors. I requested that you and your family be moved to somewhere safer. You're the only lead we have on this demon, so we can't afford to lose you."
Isamu and Fujiko read the paper together. Fujiko then looked at her husband with a worried face. Isamu saw it and understood what it meant. This is our home. The one Hinode was raised in. Should we really move with all of the memories we have here?
Isamu look back at Sōhei sternly. "Will we be safe? Can we still search for our son there?"
Sōhei nodded once to signal yes to both questions.
Then Isamu looked back at Fujiko. Both gave each other a look. Then both of them looked back at Sōhei. Isamu was the one to answer. "Alright, we'll move. Give us time to gather our things."
"Of course."
Throughout the next month, Sōhei stayed with them and helped guide them as they packed for their move. He trained Isamu in the ways of killing demons and helped search for Hinode, he even helped pack.
Now the two men stand in the dojo training area. Isamu held a wooden sword while Sōhei held a wooden staff. "Alright, Isamu. The first thing to remember when fighting a demon is, you are weak. Compared to them, you are a speck of sand."
Isamu sweat dropped a bit. Well don't sugarcoat it I guess... But he nodded anyway.
"But, even a speck of sand... can become something great!" With that he instantly appeared in front of Isamu.
Isamu barely had time to react. Sōhei swung his staff at Isamu, who blocked it with his sword, sending him flying into the wall on the other side of the room.
Isamu groaned as he laid on the ground. Sōhei slammed the end of his staff on the ground, his other arm folded behind his back. A determined look on his face. "Now rise, Isamu. Or die without completing your vow to save your son."
With that, a determined look appeared one Isamu's own face. He stood up holding his sword in both hand, facing Sōhei. "Bring it on."
Sōhei smirked at him. Then did the same move as before. Appearing behind Isamu and slamming his staff into his back, sending him flying into the wall on the other side of the room, again.
Isamu groaned louder this time as he laid on the ground.
Sōhei just smiled and placed his free hand on his hip. "We've got a long way to go, you speck of sand!"
~View change to Muzan.~
Muzan sat on a grand bed with expensive red velvet sheets. He played with a stand of Hinode's hair. "When will you wake, my Taiyou?"
He brought the long strand to his lips. "It's been two months, I can't bare to wait any longer." Then he smiled in thought. "You always make me wait."
Hinode was laying in the center of this lavish bed. He peacefully slept with no sign he'd be waking anytime soon. His hands lay on his stomach and his hair was spread out all around him.
Muzan had taken all of the bandages off of Hinode. The markings looked to be healing very slowly, slower than muzan liked. So he wrapped new ones on him, leaving his face for him to see. He would give Hinode small amounts of his blood in hopes to spead up the process, but to no avail as of yet.
Occasionally, a tear would slip out of Hinode's eye and glide down his cheek. Muzan would wipe it away and wonder what his Taiyou is dreaming of.
Muzan waited by Hinode's side the whole time. He never left, wanting to be there when he does wake.
He feeds on the hotel staff, but not enough to become suspicious. He has had to move them three times already because of his hunger, and those wretched humans who want to steal Hinode away from him. He won't let them take him. He won't allow it.
Muzan released the strand of hair and stood up. He walked to the window and looked up at the full moon. He smiled at it. "You always loved to watch the night sky."
Then the smile fell and an angry look replaced, his aura grew dark and his eyes glowed bright red. His hand squeezed the window frame, crushing it under his grasp. "I'll kill those who wish to steal you away from me. I'll make this world perfect for us. That way, no one can have you but me."
