Leo and I made it into camp safely around 1:00 in the morning. There was no one around, since they were all asleep. " Which cabin should I stay in?" I asked. "Well, newcomers who haven't been claimed yet go into the Hermes Cabin." Leo answered. He led me over to the Hermes Cabin and said goodnight. "I won't be able to show you around camp tomorrow because I'm on cleaning duty, but I'll ask my friend Piper to show you around." He then chuckled. "But watch out... she has a VERY powerful voice." Confused by that, i just shook my head and climbed into the bed next to me. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was fast asleep.
I had some very disturbing dreams. At first, I was standing atop a mountain, looking down. There was a woman's face at the bottom of the mountain, but it looked like she was asleep. " Avenge me, my child..." she slurred, as if talking in her sleep. " I don't know w-what you mean." I stammered. Who is this lady? "The Gods are fools to not know what I've created." she laughed. "Huh??? What did you create? Who are you? Why are a face in the dirt?" I said, a thousand questions going off in my head. She looks important. " I, my child, am Mother Earth. You are an unexpected pawn in my game, with great powers to come. Those idiots of demigods really think I've been defeated." she smirked in triumph. " But everyone knows you can't kill me without killing the earth itself!" " Um... I don't think they know that..." I said.
"Now, go and avenge me. Awaken me from my slumber. You are the only one who can do it." "But why me?" I asked. "Because you are a child of-" I awoke in a puddle of sweat. " Weirdest dream ever." I said. I looked around the Hermes cabin, and saw an orange t-shirt and jeans laying on the bed for me. I walked over to the mirror and started getting undressed. I had read about Greek mythology and started going through the list of goddesses who could my mother. The only ones I knew that matched my features were Persephone and Demeter. Or maybe a nature nymph. As I put my camp clothes on, I looked at myself in the mirror. I don't really care how I looked, but everyone I ever met said I was really beautuful. Aphrodite maybe? I have golden brown hair, olive skin, and bright green eyes. Hmmmm. All of a sudden, a girl walked into my room. "Hello," she said. "My name is Piper."
