I stared at the girl [Piper] who walked into my room. Although she had a messy braid and tattered t-shirt, she was absolutely beautiful. She had slightly darker skin than me, warm brown eyes, and feathers dangling from her braid. "You must be Sage." she said. As if almost in a trance, I said, " I am Sage." I shook my head confused, and looked up at her. "Sorry!" she said. "Sometimes I charm speak on accident." she said.
"So did Leo send you?" I asked. Piper nodded and took my hand. " All righty then. Time to show you Camp Half Blood!" When she took me outside, the sun shined right in my face. Once my eyes adjusted, I looked around and gasped.I never noticed how pretty it was out here in the daylight.
There were nine other cabins surrounding the Hermes cabin. In the middle was a great campfire pit. Outside of the cabin area were other campers making jewelry, sword fighting, building machines, reading books, and so many awesome and fun looking things that I felt like my head was gonna explode from pure excitement and awesomeness. As I walked with Piper, people waved hi to us and gawked at Piper. She fidgeted nervously. " Don't like the attention?" I asked. "Not really, I mean, it's great everyone here likes me, but I think it's just because I'm the daughter of Aphrodite. People just love me." Piper sighed.
"How do I found out who my godly parent it?" I asked. "Normally you get claimed. It's like a symbol of your mother or father appears over your head." "But when do I get claimed?" " You should have been claimed when you turn 13, but I wasn't even claimed until I was 16." Piper said. Piper spoke up, "We're having a bonfire tonight, that's when the camp director Mr. D [Dionysus] introduces you to the camp. Perhaps you'll get claimed there." Maybe I will.
