Work was hectic like always and I know they say the customers are always right but God I felt like punching most of them when they complained that I was too slow or I wasn't smiling enough.

I clocked out by nine and made my way to the bus stop, I waited twenty minutes for the bus to arrive.

I climbed on and went to the back. I took out my phone to check my messages, I had none sigh nothing from any of the places I applied for work.

I went on Face book and checked for any messages, none, I forgot I had nobody.

After a while the bus stopped at my station, I got down and walked the little way to Betty's house. I used my keys to open the door and I walked in.

"I'm home" I shouted removing my shoes and hanging my coat by the door.

"In here" Betty shouted back from the kitchen.

"What are you making?" I asked walking into the kitchen.

"Rice and chicken with vegetables."

"Yum, I'll just go take a shower, I'll be right back."

"Hurry up so it won't get cold."

I walked out of the kitchen and into the hallway; I passed Bett's room and walked into my room. I went to my closet and pick out my pajamas.

I took my towel and went into the bathroom down the hall.

I walked in and looked the door behind me; I turned on the shower and waited for it to get hot.

I dropped my fresh clothes on the closed toilet seat and stripped out of my dirty clothes.

When the water was hot enough, I entered the bathtub and washed my hair, then my body, when I was done; I got out, dried my body and wore my clothes. I put my dirty clothes and my towel in the hamper for washing.

I walked out of the bathroom and went to take a sit in the sitting room, "is it ready yet?"

"Yh, I'm dishing it out, come and get yours."

"Can you bring it for me, I just sat down."

"I am not your help, come and get it yourself."

This was not the first time she was giving me an attitude like this but she is keeping a roof over my head so to prevent any argument, I got up and walked to the kitchen to get my food.

I took my food to the kitchen counter and pulled out a stool, I got my cutlery and started cutting pieces of my chicken.

"How was work after I left" I asked.

"Same old shit, you?" She asked.

"Stressful as always, I got you the shampoo you liked, I noticed yours was finished."

"Aww thanks, I know you enjoyed my brunch, so don't be expecting anything in return."

"Can't I just give my beautiful friend something out of the bottom of my heart; do I have to expect anything?"

She gave me that look, that 'do you really want me to answer that question' look, "point taken, but there is nothing this time trust me."

We finished our dinner and went to bed; I walked into my room and got under my covers.

Sleeping has always been a problem for me ever since my accident. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.

I woke up all sweaty and disoriented, I checked the time on my alarm, it was just 2:00 am, and I slept just three hours.

I know that's as much sleep as I was going to get so I just lay up and stared at the ceiling.
