"I can't believe they scored 8 points while I was talking to Larry, that fucking jew is bad luck." David was sipping a Gin and Tonic while he watched a football match. Naomi sat gingerly on the chair next to his couch facing at an angle to the giant Television. Naomi shook her head, "What happened hun?" He threw the remote to the Television at the wall, "This fucking bitch is pressing charges claiming I fucking raped and assaulted her! Fuck fuck fuck!"
Agent Rainier opened the door to a courthouse in West L.A. It was empty and dark, the L.A. sun shone threw the thin tall windows to the right of him, to the left across the room, a door opens and a man in a suit walks out. They approach each other, Rainier sat down in a chair at the table witnesses sit in. They sat together, a guard shows up, he gestures for him to turn on the lights, they flicker on and the room is lit, the curtains unfold hiding the sunshine. Agent Rainier smiles to him, "You doing alright Judge?" He looks green, "I... I will spare you the unnecessary details, when I had to take on this case, something happened to me I never could get off my mind. About two years ago, after the first day on the case, we went into recess due to many witnesses having different appointments on different days, I was home and..." Agent Rainier handed him a handkerchief, "Take your time sir, there's no rush." The memory of what he watched on the VHS tape the other night, with no sleep, made him fearful but he was unsure if he should've been or not. The Judge continued, "My wife and my kids... They weren't home, I felt weird too I felt like something was, oh so wrong. A man seemingly appeared out of nowhere, he was in a red velvet suit and a red tie, he had a microphone up to his mouth but he didn't speak into it at first. He held it up to his mouth, covering his mouth, and he told me, 'You need to speak with fe.' He hands me a phone, I don't say anything, I... I literally can't. I hear over the phone a raspy voice say, 'The Libel Suit of 1989, you mustn't compromise. Nod your head if you understand and comply.' and I just... nodded my head. And the man in the velvet suit just walked around the corner, and then I saw my wife and kids in the kitchen in front of me, I looked everywhere and he was gone! He was fucking gone Officer!" Agent Rainier exhaled hard, "Just call me Rainier sir, no need to call me Officer."
A memory flooded Ari's mind after seeing a box on the door matt of a house, which the people living inside, picked up and brought inside. Before he was in the Military, he was living in an apartment, a place called Rancho Vega Housing. Ari watched from outside his window on the bottom floor, a man had pinned a woman to the concrete and was punching her. It was five am, he walked outside and approached the scene, to see that he was punching the concrete, the woman's head was gone. The man's face had fear written all over it, Ari decided to get in his car and drive off, letting his landlord take care of this situation. He went into work around nine, he got out around five and when he returned home, the scene was cleaned up. At his door matt to his apartment, was a box. He brought it inside and opened it, inside was a lamp he ordered.
Lady L opened the garage door, inside it was a doorway to a crack floating in midair. The crack was shining light on her face, the grass behind her across the road turned black. She turned to see a man with a beard walking by the garage door. He had a bright green construction site vest, he looked at her and said in an empty voice, "Columbia. Portland. Ein erwachtes stück zeit." She turned back to the crack in midair. An eye stared back at her, it then vanished. She walked out of the garage, and walked up the road and took a left to see a convenient store.
