Weakness (Kageyama x Hinata)

Chapter 11

The doorbell rang. What the heck? It's nearly 1 am and someone’s really coming to Hinatas house now? Could it be? No. Shoyo had some hope that it might be Kageyama, but he tells himself that it wasn't. If it wasn't his boyfriend, he would only be more sad afterward. He sighed. He probably made a big deal out of this situation, but what should he do about his feelings? The doorbell rang again. The middleblocker rolled out of bed to go to the door, as Natsu and his mother shouldn't wake up from the whole ringing. He walked past a mirror on the way to the door. He looked terrible. Under his eyes were dark blue circles, his hair was disheveled and his whole charisma literally screamed how bad he was feeling. He smiled at his measly state, but went on and carefully opened the door. From outside the moonlight and the street lamps, light shone towards him. Shoyo swallowed when he realized who was standing in front of him. It really was Kageyama. Hinatas' boyfriend was actually at his front door at 1 am. Somehow it just felt like a cheesy soap opera (it really did, I kinda cringed while writing this jsjs). "What...what are you doing here?" "Are you going to let me in first?" "Uhm, yes"
They went upstairs and Shoyo just now noticed how messy his room had become. Coffee mugs were scattered everywhere, the trash can was overflowing and his clothes and school supplies were lying around all on the floor. Beneath other circumstances, this chaos might have been embarrassing or something, but it was just the last thing that interested him right now. Kageyama sat down on the bed and pulled his large backpack towards him. Usually, Hinata would probably have sat down with him now but he wanted to have a little distance between them until he understood the situation properly, so he sat on a chair in the middle of the room and pulled his legs up to his chest. "So? What are you doing here?" "Well, I...um...wanted to see if you were okay? Like you did back then...” (He's talking about the situation in chapter 1) A feeling of relief rushed through Shoyo, he was a little afraid that his setter had come to break up with him for this Lizzy girl. However, he still didn't feel well because he had seen the two of them together. "And that had to be at 1 am?" He asked in a slightly sarcastic tone. He didn't really want to be so dismissive, but the jealousy inside him made him say things he didn't want to say. His setter ignored his friends comment. "So...I suppose you're not okay?" "Do I look like I am?" The whole thing is definitely going in the wrong direction. For some reason, Tobio didn't freak out, even though Hinata was talking to him like that, but asked “What happened? Did I do something wrong?” Shoyo looked at him in surprise for a moment. Kageyama never looks for the mistake by himself. Something was different about him today, but Shoyo was not doing well enough to react now as happy as usual. "Why don't you ask Lizzy? Since you seem to get along so well with her...” Shoyos lower lip started to tremble. Oh god, will I start crying again? "What?" Kageyamas eyes widened and he looked at his boyfriend in surprise and panic. "What do you mean?" No matter how much Karasunos middleblocker wanted to keep his feelings to himself, no matter how hard he tried not to cry and yell at Tobio...he just couldn't hold back. All the emotions that he had carried up to now and told himself that they were not real and not important came to light now. It had been clear to him that he would have to let them out at some point, but he would haveve preferred if he wouldn't let out this whole thing in front of his setter. "I saw you!" His voice grew louder and started to tremble. Tears formed in his eyes. "I saw you talking and laughing together! How she was attached to you and...and how much you seemed to like it...COME ON, KAGEYAMA! JUST TELL ME HOW YOU LIKE HER MORE THAN ME, HOW YOU WILL LEAVE ME FOR HER! Please...just...be honest with me" Shoyo had started to cry stronger and every word was accompanied by a strong sob. Hah, now I had another emberressing breakdown in front of him. I'm seriosly just weak. Tobio looked at his completely finished friend in amazement. He didn't quite know what to answer now. "Hold up. You think I would leave you for Lizzy because you saw us talking?" "YES! I mean you looked so happy while talking to her...She is rich, and pretty, and smart, and, and, and...She just has everything I don’t have. Why would you like to stay with me when you can have someone like her?” A small smile spread on the setter's mouth. It looked a bit like he was making fun of Hinata, well maybe he was. Tobio got up from the bed, went to his spiker and took him in his arms. He hugged him tightly and Shoyo sobbed against his chest. "Listen here, dumbass. I promised you to never leave you and I will keep that promise. You should really stop being so anxious. Why would I leave you for some girl I just met when I love you and I'm happy with you. Now stop crying, you little fool" They stood there for a whole while until Hinata stopped sobbing, parted away from his boyfriend, and looked him in the eyes, asking: "Why were you talking to her so much then?" He was now sure that Kageyama would not break up with him and had a reason why he talked so much to this girl, but he still wanted to know it exactly. "That's why I'm here", he answered with a smirk on his face, picked his boyfriend up, and sat onto the bed.

Heyyy <3 this chapter was kinda hard to write. I had no ideas and at the same time too many lmao. Next chapter will probably be up pretty soon sooo yeah, hope y'all are save and love ya, byeee ^-^
