A feeling of exhiliration yet fear lingered inside of Hongjoong as he neared the address to Seonghwa's home. It'd been three days since their intimate encounter, hopefully enough to take Seonghwa by surprise.

No, the plan wasn't to bombard the home.. yet. First, he needed to gain Seonghwa's trust, he needed to lead Seonghwa on. Although anyone else would say it was a heartless plan, how could you possibly be heartless to someone that already is heartless?

Surprisingly, there weren't gates nor guards near the driveway. Still, Hongjoong kept his guard up. Yes he wore a bulletproof vest underneath his shirt but that wouldn't protect the rest of his body. He just had to trust that Seonghwa wouldn't have him rippled by bullets.

He drove into the wide driveway that was lined by rose bushes. The house itself looked as if it came right out of a fairytale, almost a castle, all it really needed was the knights in shining armor. The exterior of the home was all stone, towers and all, vines crawling across the walls as small lanterns lit up the giant oak door.

Hongjoong went back and forth between bringing his gun or not, in the end deciding to tuck it on his waistband like usual.

He trotted up the steps to the large door, still wary of his surroundings. He knocked on the door, wondering if they could even hear through how thick the door was, which he took note of.

A female voice came from the other side, "Coming!" To Hongjoong's surprise, instead of opening the door a very small rectangular window was opened and the woman spoke through, "Do you have an appointment with Mr. Park?"

Hongjoong smiled and shook his head, "I'm afraid I don't, but I'd be very grateful if you told Mr. Park that Hongjoong is here to see him. He'll understand I'm sure."

The woman closed the window and there was a long moment before the big oak door was opened, "Mr. Park will see you in a bit. You can wait in the library in the meantime." The woman whom Hongjoong assumed was a maid, led him inside.

The interior of the home followed with the castle theme of the exterior. The floor was made of dark stone tiles, a dazzling chandelier hung from the cieling and an enormous decorative carpet met Hongjoong at the entrance. There were winding stairs that led to a second floor, long carpets led down the center of the staircases. If it weren't for the maid's calling then Hongjoong would've remained in a trance by just the entrance of the home.

After winding down a hallway the woman finally brought Hongjoong to his destination. "Here it is. You can wait here till Mr. Park is ready to see you, it'll only be a few minutes. There's tea on the table if you'd like, if you need anything do tell."

Hongjoong was visibly overwhelmed by the home, it truly was something out of a fairytale. He paced the library, looking at the thousands of books that lined the walls. "There's no way he's read even half of these." He plopped down on a leather sofa, closing his eyes as he waited for Seonghwa.

Soon the door opened with a small knock, Hongjoong opened one eye to see Seonghwa who strode into the room, closing the door behind him. "Took you long enough." Seonghwa scoffed and sat down next to Hongjoong, kicking his feet up on the ottoman in front of the sofa, "Last time I checked, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 came to 𝒎𝒚 house. Now, the question is why?"

Hongjoong sighed and sat up, looking directly into Seonghwa's eyes, "Why me?" Seonghwa straightened his posture, "What do you mean?" Hongjoong bit his lip nervously, "That day on the rooftop, you said you chose me.. what did you mean by that?"

"It's kind of hard to explain. I know it's weird to have an attraction to you, regarding circumstances. But there's something about you, some sort of energy that pulls me to you. Everyone sees me as a coldhearted murderer, the media has painted me this way. It's all everyone sees, but I'm human just like everyone else. I just.. I wanna prove that I'm capable of emotions."

Hongjoong looked at the other male for the first time with sympathy in his eyes, "Oh... "

Seonghwa cleared his throat and gave Hongjoong a small smile, "So, I was hoping that perhaps you'd give me that chance."

Hongjoong's eyes widened, "M-me? I-I.."

Seonghwa took the smaller male's hands and held them, "Please. I'm begging you, we don't have to be anything official. Just friends, companions even. Just please."

"Seonghwa. I'm an agent. My job is literally to 𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 you.", Hongjoong pulled his hands away and hung his head low.

"Please Hongjoong... You're the only one I trust."

Hongjoong left Seonghwa's house after the two went back and forth more. Even though it was all a plot, how come he couldn't help but feel bad for Seonghwa?

Seonghwa was right. The media always portayed him in a bad way, everyone saw him as yet another evil in the world.

Yet here Seonghwa was, begging Hongjoong to stay beside him. As a boyfriend? No. Partner? No. Just, friends. That's what the two agreed on, friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

And Hongjoong agreed to this, he mentally face palmed for it too. How long was he going to have to play along? He knew he was going to lead Seonghwa on, but not like this. It became clear that Seonghwa actually favored Hongjoong, that he wanted more than just sex from him.

Hongjoong was going to pretend to actually like Seonghwa, then back-stab him in the worst way possible. God, he'd need a new bottle of whiskey for tonight.
