Jordan's laugh filled the cafe. She never felt this happy for the past three years. She forgot how to smile, she forgot how to laugh and she forgot how to live. But Kate's presence brought back memories to her. Her silly college life, Kate's drunken state when they used to attend parties a lot in college and many more.

Gabby smiled behind the counter, she never imagined Jordan would laugh so freely like that but she was also sad because she wasn't the reason of it. She had no idea why, but deep down inside her, she wanted to make Jordan happy again.

Brandon saw sadness in Gabby's eyes when he glanced at her. He elbowed Gabby lightly, Allie was back to her own spot after Gabby told her to play alone, Gabby turned her head to see Brandon.

"Yeah?" Gabby asked.

"They're best friends." Brandon told her.

"I know." Gabby forced a smile.

Brandon snorted. "You're sure you're okay?"

Gabby nodded. Brandon studied her more. He wanted to ask a question but he didn't want to push Gabby if she didn't even know herself.

"I heard Kate's voice. Is she here?" Emma came into view.

Brandon pointed at where Jordan and Kate were. Emma gawked, she didn't realize that Jordan was laughing uncontrollably. It had been quite a while since they heard Jordan's laughter.

"What's up?" Cassie asked, she wrapped her arm around Emma's shoulder.

"Kate is here." Emma informed.

Cassie peeked over Gabby and Brandon, her eyes lit when she knew Jordan was smiling so pure. The four of them were happy that Jordan was smiling again, the three of them knew what happened while Gabby was still wondering what was the story behind. Maybe she would get the answer tonight since Jordan asked her to talk.

But when the coffee shop closed, Jordan wasn't home. Jordan and Kate went to the mall at four in the afternoon to catch up about the things they didn't talk for almost a month.

Jordan told Kate everything who Gabby and Allie were, how they ended up living with her and their situation. Kate's eyes watery when she knew deep inside Jordan's heart, she had moved on, but Jordan didn't realize it because she wasn't the one who always expressed her feelings.

Kate didn't comment anything. She believed Jordan had moved on because when Jordan told her about Gabby and Allie, Jordan's eyes lit like they were alive again, like when Jordan was in love with Olivia.

Surprisingly, they didn't talk about Olivia because Kate wanted to know more about Gabby and Allie so she intentionally dragged a conversation about them. Kate wanted Jordan to move on. It had been three years since her best friend was like a zombie, living a monotone life every day.

She knew Olivia was also her best friend but she didn't want Jordan buried her heart to someone who already died. Jordan's journey in life was still long and she didn't want Jordan took it for granted just because her fiancée was dead. She knew it was hard at first, but it had been three years so she asked Jordan to talk about her own future.

"Allie loves you." Kate said.

Jordan smiled. "I know, she told me one time."

"She respects you more than she respects her own mother though." Kate responded as a matter of fact. "And she is smart for a five years old kid, though. Damn, she even told me the process of photosynthesis!"

"I know, right?" Jordan laughed. "Her knowledge about the world is big, she doesn't like math, she likes science a bit, she likes to eat pancakes and ice cream a lot."
