i once knew how excruciating it was
to be in that place, to be someone,
someone valued but not the way
you wanted
because i imagined my feet
inside those shoes.but things happened quickly.
destiny flipped our backstories,
and i guess it was only me.
things happened.
i came early, prioritized, valued.
but that just wasn't for me.so i stood wrapped in my blanket
to keep my monsters away.now, i know how excruciating it is
to be in this place, to be someone,
someone valued but not the way
i wanted
because i ain't just imagining my feet
inside the shoes.i am in the exact moment when
i must know how to wear them.it will be okay.
it is deemed normal.---
