I'm a person too!

TRIGGER WARNINGS: anger, depersonalisation, depression.

—-

1. My name, sexuality, pronouns, and my choices are just that: MINE. I owe you nothing in regards to MY life when you have given me nothing in return.

2. I have the right to be angry, sad, scared, tired, lonely, depressed, anxious as well as any positive feelings because, regardless of how you want me to behave, I am HUMAN. Humans have emotions.

3. I should not have to tell you every single thought I have just to explain how I am feeling.

4. Respect is only respect if it is equal. I owe no respect to those who show me none in return.

5. People grow and adapt and change and learn, and punishing them or getting angry at them for no longer fitting your version or standard of how a person should act forever only works if they are a robot and not human.

6. Your perception of me is biased in favour of how you want to see me and how I behave around you and certain people. I act different in different situations and around different people and that does not mean I am "two-faced", only that I adjust my behaviour to fit where I am, either for safety reasons or for comfort.

7. I have a right to exist in any way I see fit so long as I am not harming others.

8. My decisions are my own to make, and my mistakes are my own to make, and I have the right to BOTH.

You can yell and scream and get angry, you can call me "disrespectful" or "rude" or "annoying" but that doesn't change the fact that I am a human and I have the right to act the way I want to act when I feel sad, scared, angry, happy, tired or anything else.

If all I am doing is being harsh with my words, (and they are well deserved and long overdue) then you should understand that I do not need to "know my place" or "be respectful" or "hold my tongue", because I have the right to my thoughts and my words and my voice.
