Chapter 21

Tobias POV

I wait for her answer, nervous incase she says no. I don't know why she would I mean, she loves me doesn't she?

"No." She says shaking. Wait what?

"What? Tris please tell me who this other guy is. This other guy that you love so much tha-"

"Tobias pl-"

"NO. If there is someone so special that it is worth cheasting on me, we can-"

"Tobias, listen t-"

"Tris. I understand if you want to break up with me and I hope this guy really deserves y-"

"FOUR WILL YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME!" she yells, grabbing my arm and yanking me back because I had started to walk away. Anyway that shut me up but I have to ask, "Why did you call me Four?"

"Because I love you Tobias and I don't want anyone to find out your name because I know that's not what you want. I also needed to get your attention and now I have I will explain. By saying no I actually meant I am not ready yet. Tobias, I love you more than words can describe and would do anything, anything, for you. I would break up with you or marry you right now if that's what you want most because you love me. I promise on my family's life that I have not, do not nor will I ever have anyone I love as much as I love you. Tobias, you are my one and only and always will be, can you forgive me?"

She says breaking down into tears.

I trust her, I do, so I tentatively place my hand on her back and rub my thumb in circles which I hope is comforting! Because I really do love her. I couldn't manage a world without her. She goes off to her appartment to get ready for bed so I start to aswell. I wish I could comfort her!

I tumble into bed but have very little sleep for the nightmares hainting my dreams.

Tris POV

I am so STUPID! I could have said, "Tobias YES I WOULD LOVE TO MARRY YOU! But I am just not quite ready yet. Can we wait a year?" But I went and messed up and I doubt that he'll believe, forgive or trust me. I sigh, this is going to be a loooooong night!

A/N sorry for the really short chapter!  I wish I could have made it longer but I have got some secrets up my sleeve for later and maybe I'll bring  'em out next chapter...
