Kat’s POV:

For the first time in years, I woke up with a smile on my face…a smile that slipped off very quickly as Cam jumped on me.

“Watch it!” I cried out. “You’re heavy as fuck!”

“Oh my God, she’s awake!” Cam yelled, and Dan whooped from the kitchen.

“It’s a first,” he said.

I tried to pull Cam away from me but she latched herself onto me, hugging me tightly.

“Cam…you’re choking me…”

“I love you Kat,” she said, ignoring my statement completely.

“Okay…can you please get off me? I can’t breathe…”

She squeezed me even tighter.

“I’ll never let go,” she whispered in my ear.

“Girls, you coming or what?” Ethan asked. “I made breakfast.”

“Food!” Cam cried out, and let go of me. I breathed a sigh of relief.

“Have I told you that I love you, Ethan?” I asked.

“About a thousand times, hon’,” he answered, and I could hear the smirk in his voice.

Cam rolled off of me and I got out of bed. After quickly dressing in the usual skinnies and tee shirt, I dived into the kitchen. The guys were already eating and talking about how much they wanted to visit this guitar shop not too far away.

“Their guitars are really famous,” Chris told me. “I wonder when we’ll have time to go…”

“Well, we don’t have anything special today, do we?”

Excuse me?” Ethan said, disbelief lacing his voice.

“Uh, that is, until Amy comes,” I quickly amended myself.

“You forgot!”

“No…”

“Bitch.”

I gave him the finger and he rolled his eyes.

“It’s okay, I forgive you,” he said and kissed my cheek.

“What time does she come again?” Cam asked.

“Around two in the afternoon I think. I wanted to pick her up at the airport, but she wouldn’t have any of it. She said she’d take a cab.”

“Dude, you need to pick her up,” Chris said, and I nodded heavily.

“She’s just saying that because she doesn’t want to bother you, but trust me, she wants you to pick her up,” I said gravely.

“Oh…you sure?”

Yes,” Chris said.

“Okay then…I don’t have a car though.”

“Take a cab,” Cam proposed.

Ethan frowned.

“But then what’s the point?”

Cam sighed as if Ethan was being particularly thickheaded. Which he was.
