Grace searched Mathew's oceanic eyes, looking for something she didn't even know what. A few seconds felt like hours as they stared into each other's soul, trying to understand why they were feeling something so strong.

A soft howl and a few snorts brought Mathew back to reality as he broke the contact with Grace and moved his head away, shaking it to clear any imaginations. He was starting to think that maybe Grace felt the same way as he had since they were in high school.

'What was that?' He could hear the smirk in Lucas's voice as he ignored the man and huffed in annoyance, again.

Grace moved away from the wolf and rubbed her face with her now warm arms. She didn't even realize that she'd dosed into sleep and took a deep breath to calm her mind. Then, she suddenly remembered that the wolf she'd been with was red, not off-white.

Grace quickly removed her hand and pushed back onto the wall in fright. How long have I been asleep? She thought staring at the off-white colored wolf as it didn't move to show any sign of hurting her. But what happened to Fred? She asked herself in her mind as she scanned the cave. When her eyes landed on the huddled wolves, about four or five; she could only wish that the wall would swallow her up.

"W-what? What's going o-on?" She stuttered out, as she pushed back more, though she didn't move away; there's no other space to.

Grace glanced at the off-white wolf from the corner of her eye and watched it turn its head towards her and tilt a little, as if in confusion. Mathew on the other hand, didn't know what to feel as he realised that Grace'd thought he was Fred.

She turned back to the pack of wolves and noticed the red fur from Fred's wolf and gasped in fright. "W-what are you doing to Fred?! Let him go!" She shouted, scared of why her life was so messed up. She'd lost her father and then her uncle and friends. She also found out that her father might have lied to her and erased her memory. She didn't want to lose the only friend she had left, also the only one she had company.

The wolves surrounding Fred lifted their ears up, in alert. Grace noticed the human body underneath them along with Fred and gasped in fear. Then she noticed a single leg poking through one of the wolves. The single leg looked hurt and bent in an upsetting way.

Grace suddenly flinched and waited for the wolves to jump at her, but instead, the off-white wolf snarled at the light-brown dog and blocked the path to Grace.

The off-white wolf howled softly before the backbone of it started to dislocate itself. Grace's eyes widen before closing tightly, panicking of what's to come.

"Calm down Grace, it's just us." Mathew's voice surprised her. She slowly opened her eyes, only to wish that she didn't.

"Holy, Mother of the Gods! Mathew! Put some damn clothes on!" Grace blushed, scolding herself for catching Mathew's nakedness. Her checks turned red and she wished that she had her hair down to cover herself up even if her olive colored skin helped with the act.
