I made my way up the stairs and peeked at both hallways that led to countless number of rooms. When I realized that it was empty, I tiptoed to the right side and walked past a few doors. Then, I halted, wondering if I was guessing wrong. What if they thought that I would check the last doors only?

I sighed, wanting to use my powers so badly, but I knew I can't because they'd find out. So, pretending to be a normal human being, I started to tiptoe again when I heard a soft giggle. Thank god, they were there.

I fist pumped the air, overjoyed that I was going to find them.

I was going to win.

I turned to the nearest door that emitted the sound and knocked on the door. I heard a few 'shh's and sounds of them mumbling when I decided to invite myself in.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," I said with a deep voice. I turned around the room and noticed a cute little bunny slipper poking out from one of the cupboards in the office. "Alright then, I guess no one's here..." I made a sad face and turned around to go out.

More giggles.

Everything was going as planned, but what I didn't plan was to find Charlotte's caked face right at the door when I opened to leave.

"Oh my goddess, Charlotte! Every single time, I've told you to not do that!"

"How many times do I have to tell you to not let your guard down even in your own palace?" She retorted. But before I could shoot a diss back, I was suddenly pushed to one side, making me yelp.

"CHARBEAR!"

"My favorite werewolf!" My friend exclaimed back, catching the said monster with good balance.

"But, whatabwout mwe?" A shy voice echoed through the room. I turned back to see my lovely daughter, pouting and playing with the hem on her pyjamas-top. A smile etched on my face as I leaned down to pick her up.

"You are my favorite werewolf," I simply say to watch Bella gasp. Then, after a few seconds of thinking, she huffed and hugged Charlotte closer.

Bella's brown hair poked her in the eye and she brushes it away. Unlike Anna, her twin, who had long, brown hair and deep blue eyes, she had short brown hair with light brown eyes. Other than that, they were as identical as they'd get.

"Whatevwer! I have CharBear, so it dwoesn't matter!" She then gave me her best glare, which was too cute because it made her look like a younger version of Mathew when he's frowning, and pointed at me to say, "and we WIN!"

I shake my head: no way am I going to loose to them. "Nah-ah, I win, I knew you were there Bella, I saw your bunny slippers," I indicated to the said shoes, pushing Charlotte out of the room to close behind.

Bella whined and frowned at Charlotte because she was the one to gift them those. I held Anna tighter as we walked down the steps to find the rest of the family waiting.
