25 weeks pregnant
Since Darcy was getting very big two had decided to push the date for decorating the nursery forward,
"We apparently should have done this a while ago," Christian said with a nervous chuckle as he read out that an article recommended that the young couple were long done with the boy's new room,
"Well as they say, better late than never," she said with a shrug thinking that the situation was interesting,
"So are you having a Donna moment?" He asked referring to her outfit choice of the day,
"Yes and you know you love my dungarees," she pointed down to one of her many dungarees,
"We are going to keep hush about that, do you know what colour you want the room?" Christian had left the main decorating decisions to Darcy as she really enjoyed making those kinda things,
"I wanna go white walls with a dark green accent wall," Darcy smiled as she pulled up at the board of different ideas that she had saved onto her Pinterest,
"That ones actually really nice," he pointed to the one where the two babies were in their cribs,
"So which one of us are doing what?" The two had come up with the idea that one would paint and the other would build cribs,
"How about each of us get to do half and half, so we start with the painting each do two walls and then we each do a crib?" She proposed not feeling like painting all of the walls,
"That sounds like a plan," he smiled nodding in agreement.
The two had finished shopping and after a much needed power nap for the both of them it was now time to start on the nursery,
"So you've changed your outfit again?" The American teased noticing that she had changed into her painting overalls,
"I didn't want to get my good dungarees messed up so I put my stress ones on," Darcy shrugged as the older boy had a cheeky grin on his face,
"Come on, let's get started," he added as he opened the can of white paint to start three of the four walls,
"This is nice," Darcy smiled as she danced to the music feeling calm up until she felt something cold hit her arm,
"You bitch," she added with a shriek as she looked down to see that there was a line of white paint on her arm,
"Oops," Christian shrugged with a grin as he watched her drop the paint roller and pick up the paint brush instead,
"Oh it's so on," she glared at him as she dipped her brush in the paint and then continued their little paint fight,
"How about this?" He asked as he placed a strip of paint on her overalls above her belly,
"Your tattoos are looking a bit off I'm going to fix that," she mumbled the last part as she made an attempt to cover as much of his sleeve as possible in paint before he moved his arm again,
Neither of them had realised that they had knocked a can of paint over so when Darcy had moved backwards she slipped and landed on her bum,
"Shit Darcy are you okay?" He asked as he got down and helped her get back up again,
"Yea I'm fine, at least I landed on my bum," she joked decided to not tell him that she did get a small shooting pain when it happened,
"Okay we are taking a truce, so let me get you a chair and I'll finish painting," he proposed as she shook her head instantly,
"No I'm helping you, I'm fine baby I promise," she smiled as she gave him a kiss,
"Fine but you are sitting on a cushion and are only doing the cribs, also if you feel hurt at any point you're going to tell me and you'll stop, okay," the older boy spoke in a stern tone as he didn't just have to worry about her, he also had to worry about the babies in her belly,
"Seriously I'm fine and so are the boys, also how hard can building a crib be?" Darcy asked as she picked up the instructions that actually looked more intense than a kitchen island set from IKEA,
"Okay maybe I might actually need your help," she added with wide eyes as she looked through the thick booklet,
"Do you want to paint and I build then?" Christian had helped his dad build the crib each time a younger sibling of his was born so it was pretty safe to say that he knew what he was doing by now,
"Sure, at least now a don't have to worry about you making a mess anymore," the young blonde let out a snort thinking she was funny which resulted in the older boy sending her a hard glare,
"Remember I'm the one with the sharp weapons so," he shot back as he put his head down and started working again.
"And that's the last thing," Darcy smiled as they hung up a picture of the two that Mason had actually taken when they were in Japan which hung above the cabinet where the vases that the two had made on their first date sat,
"We look cute in that," he smiled as he put his arms around her and let his hands rest on her stomach,
"You were so nervous in that team," she teased and just before he could respond they both felt one of their little ones kick for the first time,
"Did you feel that or am I imagining something?" He asked feeling amazed,
"No I definitely felt that too," Darcy said with a smile as she placed her hands on top of his,
"Our little footballers are already training in the womb," Christian joked as the Scot shook her head not liking that idea,
"No I'm am not a training ground so if they want to practice it has to be once they are out of me," she spoke in a commanding tone really not looking forward to the next few weeks with them.
