He didn't know where to turn, he knew he couldn't go to Tae's, not in the state he was in. He got out of his car, unsure of how he'd managed to drive, but relieved when he'd parked.

He took his phone out of his pocket and very nearly went to phone Tae but phoned his brother instead. Jin picked up straight away, the concern in his voice a mixture of knowing what Jungkook had gone home to do and worry at why he was phoning him.

"Kook, what's happened?"

Jungkook rambled on about Keyho and the things she had said. He wasn't coming up for air as he rushed to get it all out.

"Do you need to come here?" Jin had asked after Jungkook had told him why he didn't want to go to Tae's, sobbing that it wasn't the right thing to do.

"I might... later. You can't tell him, Jin... you... can't.... tell him."

"Where are you? Please come here, Kook."

"I'm... at the church."

Jungkook was hoping the old lady was here, he didn't know where else to turn so drove to the only place he could think of.

"Okay. Come here if you need to. We are here for you."

Jungkook put his phone back in his pocket and walked into the church where the old woman stood immediately after taking in his face. She slowly made her way to Jungkook and took him by the arm, she hadn't said anything to him, leading him into a small room with a sofa and some chairs in it.

"Whatever has happened, Sonny?" the lady was gentle as she spoke, holding Jungkook's hand like he was made of china.

Jungkook told her everything... from Kai to Tae's Parents to Keyho... apologising a lot for troubling her and saying that he didn't know where else to go.

The lady, whose name was Grace, made him a coffee and mulled over his words before sitting beside him again. Grace had thought about the man who had rushed to find the hoodie that day, she had wondered how he was and wished for better circumstances now. She had seen something in him that day, something that warmed her heart and broke it, equally.

"You've come along way since I first met you here. A lot has happened and it is all for the best... for you and your Tae. I know it doesn't feel like it but it has all happened as expected. Your Wife has acted in anger, as anyone would. It was her pride speaking, sonny, nothing more. She has made the best of a bad situation, being forced into marriage with you and your bombshell angered her. She was probably thinking that she would be the one to find someone else and end the relationship, but you have beaten her to it. From what you have said, she has always portrayed a certain persona to your parents and because of that, she will have their backing and all their sympathy."

"I know. She is a different person in front of them."

"The one guarantee in all of this is that you were always billed to be the bad guy. You are gay, sonny... whatever happened, whether you found your Tae again or not... your marriage would have failed and it was always going to be your fault. That was probably the most certain thing."

"I can handle being the bad guy. I can handle anything apart from losing Tae, I can't handle that... not again, Grace. If she is... if she... if there is a baby... she would make me choose... I know it and I can't... I would rather die than have to go through that... I couldn't."

Jungkook was starting to panic, his breathing escalated and his words tripped over each other. Grace held his hand tighter "If you ask me... that was said in anger. Women say hurtful things when they are hurting and sadly that's a standard response... she wanted to cause you pain. There is nothing you can do about that right now... nothing. You can't let that eat away at you because you have no control over it and you have no control over her or what she does next."
