chapter fifteen
i was sat on the little sofa that was situated near my window, staring out into the pouring rain. i automatically felt calm and relaxed. i had always loved the rain. it always made me feel so calm.
billie was asleep on the bed in the same room, her tiny eyelashes fluttering slightly. i got up, placing the pillow i was hugging down on the sofa as i walked over to billie.
i crouched down next to the bed, billie on the edge which meant our faces were right next to each other. i admired her, her soft eyebrows twitching every now and then and her plump lips slightly parted.
i leaned in and placed my lips on hers, my hands on her cheeks. i pulled away when i felt her shuffle a little. her eyes fluttered open and pierced into mine, a smile on her lips.
"hi baby." i greeted, looking at her sleepy posture.
she sat up in bed, pulling the blankets up to her chest as she shivered slightly. billie looked so adorable, her hair messy and her eyes drooping.
i sat on the bed and took her face into mine, pressing my lips against hers and this time, she was awake enough to kiss me back. i licked her bottom lip and she opened her mouth, letting our tongues dance together.
her hands were in my hair while mine were on her cheeks, pulling her closer to me. we pulled away to breathe and i glanced at billie, noticing her lips were slightly swollen and her hair was even messier than before.
an idea sprung into mind and i automatically smiled and grabbed billie's hand, dragging her out of bed and out of my bedroom.
"isla, where the hell are we going?" billie asked, finally gaining her balance and walking behind me instead of being dragged.
"it's a surprise." i said with the biggest smile on my face.
i led billie out the front door and into the rain outside. i lifted my head up so i was facing the dark sky, noticing all the pretty stars in the sky. the rain fell on my face, immediately soaking me.
i looked at billie who was jumping in the puddles with the biggest smile on her face and i swear, i physically felt my heart melt.
i ran over to billie and grabbed her hands, spinning her body around, me doing the same. we were both spinning in circles with our hands in each other's and smiles on our faces.
we stopped and billie pulled me close to her, resting her hands on my waist while mine were around her neck. i admired how beautiful she looked, the rain dragging her eyelashes down and tiny drops on her face. her hair was soaked, framing her face and her eyebrows were wet, a few strands standing up messily.
she looked so adorable.
i smiled and pressed my lips against hers, letting us both get soaked while we kissed, drops of rain falling on the both of us. i pulled billie as close as i could and let my hands rest on her cheeks.
she swiped her tongue across my bottom lip, asking for entrance which i gladly accepted. our tongues met as we began making out, the rain still falling on us.
she disconnected our lips and pulled my head into her chest. i nestled my face into the crook of her neck, pressing a small kiss on the area before letting out a sigh of contentment. billie swayed us side to side as her arms tightly secured onto my waist.
"i love you." i whispered.
"i love you more baby."
