CHAPTER TEN

"Zabini, you fucking tosser."

"I can explain."

"Fuck off! I don't want to hear it!" Draco growled.

"Okay, but if you would hear me out—"

Cecile was quietly sitting on a bed next to Theodore's, watching the two Slytherins go at it. The five of them made it back to the Hospital Wing where Madam Pomfrey waited. At first the older nurse stared at her curiously and cautiously, until it was all explained by Blaise.

"You had one job!" Draco hissed.

"And I handled it how I saw fit." Blaise argued back.

"Ya know, I do enjoy sleep." Theodore said, still lying down.

Cecile raised her hand, "And I enjoy keeping my memories."

Draco sent her a glare, which quickly reminded her of the Slytherins who thought themselves higher than others because of blood status. But the blonde girl, Daphne, spoke before her companion could say anything more reckless, "Blaise, you can't blame us for being upset. Especially when you trusted Theodore's secret to some random girl you shagged."

A choke left Cecile's throat as she stared wide eyed at Blaise, "Is that what you've been telling them I am?!"

Blaise rolled his eyes and sighed tiredly, "She's not one of my shags and I didn't tell her, she figured it out herself."

"How?" Draco questioned, unconvinced.

Theodore and Cecile's eyes met as he said, "Well, she is a Ravenclaw."

"Hey, hey, there are some dumb ones, I just happen to be a mixture of both." Cecile grinned as Malfoy kept scowling at her.

Daphne, despite her serious frown, let out a small chuckle, "Reminds me of Nott."

"Fuck off, Greengrass."

Cecile couldn't help but admire the Slytherins' closeness. They were like a bunch of siblings arguing and working together. It was nice to see, even when they were plotting whether or not to erase her memories.

But even in the midst of all the arguing, Cecile couldn't help but glance towards Theodore, just to see if he was okay. Thankfully, there weren't any internal injuries, thanks to a checkup by Madam Pomfrey. He was still quite pale in the face but all and all he was back to normal, looking exasperatingly annoyed as usual. Although this time it was directed at his friends.

Because of her staring, Theodore's eyes landed on her. Only his expression was unreadable. Not wanting to decipher his face any further, Cecile focused her attention on her Walkman that sat in her lap as she continued to listen to the others.

"Consider this," Daphne spoke over the two boys who had yet to get off of each other's necks, "If she's known all this time and hasn't told anyone, maybe that should say something."

"And how do we know it's not out of fear?" Draco countered, "she could've thought Nott would rip her to shreds if she'd say anything, which led to her keeping her mouth shut."

"Thanks, buddy." Theodore grumbled.

Cecile huffed, "And I'm not scared, you bleached ferret."

The blonde stared at her with wide angry eyes, "How dare you speak to me that wa—"

"You know what, fuck this." Theodore said and suddenly a silent charm attacked their voices, "Since you all don't want to listen to what I have to say, I might as well force you. After all, this is about me and my secret." He winced as he sat up, causing Daphne to rush to his side to make sure he wasn't straining himself. "If Blaise trusts her so much—which is a complete mystery to me—then we leave it at that." Cecile tried not to smile as her heart quickened hopefully, "Plus, I don't want to flirt with her ever again. That shit gives me nightmares."
