Chapter 3 - Lies, ropes and a red-head.
Adam Fabbiani was an ordinary boy, half human, half angel. He didn't have any additional powers, nor did he have a perfect score in Sunday duels. He is defined as extremely mischievous. He lied, planned and pulled pranks quite often but his charm was what won him the affection of others. Needless to say, when he saw a new potential victim running down the stairs to the front door of the castle, especially if she's beautiful, he could not miss the chance to test her ability to bear with his pranks.
But when Aria collided with him, he forgot all about his intentions. It was not love nor was it brain damage. It was fascination.
He grabbed Aria by the arm to prevent her from falling, he could not risk another meeting with Leon after what he did to Erin the other day. Don't get me started on Miss. Evelynn he thought as he sighed. Aria stared at him but then ran to the exit. Girls are funny. he thought. Men seem to be the only rational people on this poor earth, he dramatically shaked his head with an exaggerated look of disapproval. I mean heck, she just turned away from this hot body of mine. Now now, you're now on my list pretty legs.
That is when he saw the mark. The legendary mark that put an end to his, and every and each of his friends' boring life at the castle. He was probably the only one to find it boring though. The mark was on Aria's right wrist, in the shape of a circle in a star in a circle. Oh my god, he thought. why isn't anybody stopping her? She is one of the five freaking chosen freaking ones!
So the blue-eyed boy ran to Aria and yelled "Who are you running from? There is no one you could run from, here. Except maybe miss. Evelynn." Aria stopped running. And instead of looking at him she stared at the castle. Suddenly Adam saw Evelynn approaching and hear Erin screaming
"Adam! I'm going to kill you!'. Oh man...I'm so dead he thought.
"Sorry I've got to go. Welcome to Wingfield! By the way, I'm Adam!"
He then ran to the back of the castle where Erin, his scary red-head friend was entangled in glowing ropes occasionally poking her. At the sight of this Adam laughed whole-heartedly for a good fifteen minutes before he finally cancelled the spell. As he closed his eyes and counted to three, the ropes fell instantly, but Erin didn't. She was fuming.
"I'll make it up to you right now!" yelled Adam as he walked backwards while Erin ran to him with closed fists.
"HOW THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE IT UP TO ME?! I'VE BEEN POKED IN PLACES I WON'T EVER FORGET. YOU PRICK!" yelled a pretty angry Erin, whose face colour funnily matched her hair colour.
With a smirk and confident poise, Adam said, "What do you think of meeting the first arc-angel of the legend?"
"That's impossible, we have to wait almost 2 more years for that to happen." stated Erin, still fuming, "All the five will be brought at the same time. That's how it works. There can't be only one."
"I thought about it too. But how about one of them is brought in earlier than others and the rest comes in 2 years, when they'll be 18?"
"I don't know about that, it may be possible. But it has never happened in the whole history of the five arc-angels, and it's an extremely old one."
"I guess we'll have to ask Leon, that man knows everything. How about we catch up later? see you!"
"Oh don't you dare get out of my sight little prick, you're going to pay for what you did."
"Oh, here she is." said Adam, smiling widely
"who?"
"The arc-angel of course!."
"Where?"
"Right behind you!"
"Haha, you won't get me this time."
"Oh suit yourself hormonal red-head."
"She's really here?"
Erin turned to check, leaving a much happy Adam to run away.
