Knife's POV

Knife was sure that he saw a white bow floating on the edge of the forest briefly, and soon enough, Mic was back.

She didn't seem concerned or nervous, so her meeting with Taco probably didn't have any disagreements.

It was getting darker outside by the minute, so if he decided to talk to her, probably no one would see.

He watched carefully until Microphone seemed far enough from the rest of the contestants. She seemed to notice that he was approaching, but didn't show any sign of acknowledgement.

"Say Mic, could I have a word?" he asked.

"About what?" She seemed to have dropped the don't-talk-to-us idea.

"Well, you don't know what Taco is capable of. You weren't here when-"

"I know what she's capable of-"

"And what has she done to show you that?" Knife retorted. "Has she been... stealing? Or, hurting people for her gain? Manipulating? Is that what you-"

"You don't know anything about her," Mic hissed. "You're saying things that you don't even know what has happened,"

"But, am I right?" Knife asked. "She has been stealing-"

It was hard to tell, but Mic seemed slightly taken aback.

"Why would you say that?"

"Lightbulb and Test Tube were in her lab, on the same day you were late. I can put two and two togeth-"

"Why are you telling me this?" she questioned. "I already told you, if you've agreed not to join us, you could just-"

"Stop changing the subject." Knife crossed his arms. "Has she been stealing from Test Tube's lab?" Mic's eyes turned away.

"Well, yeah. She took some things, just to help us out-"

"And what exactly, has she ever helped you with?" Knife retorted.

"That's none of your business," Mic glared.

"I meant, since when has she ever done anything good for you?"

"She helps me through challenges, like an... alliance,"

"And does she care about anyone else, other than having you win challenges? She only wants you because you can offer her something-"

Mic stood up, angry. Knife glared back at her.

"What makes you think I should listen to you, huh?" she said. "Since when have you cared about anyone; you're a jerk, and you even admit it,"

"At least, I don't manipulate anyone for my personal gain," he answered.

"You used to," Mic half-whispered.

"Just like how Taco used to" said Knife, as Mic turned away.

"I know that you don't care about me... or Taco. Then why do you keep bothering us, when you agreed not to say anything? And trying to convince me on something that you nothing about,"

Knife didn't want to argue back.

"Taco... doesn't deserve another victim," he said . Mic had already started walking, but he was sure she heard him.

She doesn't deserve you, he thought.
