Microphone's POV

The sky had started lighting up.

Microphone hadn't been able to fall asleep, and simply sat awake throughout the night.

She felt like she had to do something. MePhone and MePad were nowhere in sight, and it would be the perfect time to...

Do what, though?

Launch an attack? Sabotage? Make the game go my way?

That sounds... brutal; what am I even thinking?

She thought back to a conversation with Taco.

"Perhaps, the next target should be the tube," Taco said.

"Test Tube?," Microphone was surprised. "Why?"

"She would have been eliminated anyway; she has no one left other than that lightbulb," Taco didn't seem to be paying attention. "No one likes her, not anymore, anyway, with her supposed 'egg' incident,"

Egg incident, Microphone thought. Test Tube would go crazy if something happened to the egg.

A bit of craziness from Test Tube help her get eliminated, like Taco wants.

She looked toward the vending machine. The egg sat next to it.

No one's around.

She set off toward the egg, not knowing what she was doing.

It's weird that Test Tube would leave the egg unprotected.

She looked around again for good measure, and carefully picked up the egg. It was larger and heavier than she expected.

What am I going to do with this? Steal it? Destroy it?

She thought back to Paintbrush.

"How do you like it now?" Paintbrush angrily held up the egg.

"Paintbrush!" Fan gasped.

"You act like you're still just a spectator, that nothing leaves a real impact! Well, how about your precious little egg on the hardwood floor?" they yelled.

"Y-you'd better not!," Fan was terrified.

Microphone snapped back to reality. Instinctively, she put the egg down, scared of dropping it.

Taco didn't want this. She didn't ask me to do this, a pathetic and heartless attempt at... something I didn't plan properly.

Microphone suddenly had a horrible feeling that someone or something might have been watching her the whole time.

What if someone found out what I almost did?

She backed away silently, then ran full speed away from the egg, the vending machine, and what could have happened. She finally slowed down and realised that she was surrounded by trees.

She slumped down against a tree and tried to stop thinking about what had just happened.

What have I done?

Taco's POV

She sneakily looked around a tree, at the vending machine. Taco had a fierce look on her face. Her laser gun was loaded, good.

An egg was sitting next to the machine, unprotected, unguarded.

Hmm...
