Long ago on the twin islands of Eos and Atlas the people lived in peace and harmony even going so far as to call themselves a single nation, But peace and harmony did not last as the people had hoped for you see what lay beneath the depths surrounding the island was a nation of merpeople who called themselves the Ogyians, Led by King Aletaeus ansd Queen Larna the Merpeople where not to be trifled with, Unfortunately the fishing grounds that the islanders frequented was the hunting grounds for the Ogyians, Soon some conflict arose but the real war had started when one of the ogyians was caught in a fishing net by accident, the fishing net had caught around his neck working like a noose when the fishermen jerked him to the surface, the ignorant fishermen merely through the Ogyian back into the ocean without even checking to see if he was still alive, Little did the fisherman know the Ogyian they caught was none other that King Aletaeus himself. When word reached the palace  the devastated and very much pregnant queen declared war on the islands demanding that they hand over those responsible for the king's death, 5 long years until eventually a peace agreement was reached, no islander was to set foot in the ocean domain surrounding there islands and to make it a point there where rope fences put up encasing the island from the beach. There was only one way between Eos and Atlas and it was a small rickety rope bridge constructed on the narrowest straight between the islands. No one dared cross the bridge for fear of falling in and breaking the treaty.

---Two Years Later---

A young girl of seven years of age walks along the side of the rope fence looking at the blue ocean in the distance, when she spots a figure on the other side of the ropes, the small figure was heading towards her slowly, She some what wonders who it could be on the other side of the fence. When the figure reaches her she finds it's a small boy that looks around her age but the boy had strange 'Ears'.

"hello" the young girl said in a chipper voice

"H-hi" the boy says shyly

"my names Mara, What's yours?" the girl says smiling

"M-my names Arin" the boy replies

"it's nice to meet you" Mara says grinning ear to ear

"it's nice to meet you too Mara" Arin says smiling shyly

And so Mara and Arin talked the day away finding out many things from the worlds they where both locked away from seeing up close, Mara and Arin agreed to see each other many times but over time there visits became fewer and fewer with the various duties assigned to each of them as they grew to maturity until eventually the visits stopped all together.
