A few days had passed at the Mist Estate. Muichiro is on a mission somewhere far away I presume. I received a letter from Zenitsu during this time as well. I've yet to open it.

I've cleaned the Estate from top to bottom at least twice and prepared my own meals while I was alone here, since I have nothing better to do.

I just wish Muichiro would come back soon, his return would at least give me some type of human interaction.

I think.

He seems like the type to not talk much.

Zenitsu is the opposite but, his personality is overbearing and I don't think I can handle it. I don't think I can handle him.

'I guess I should open the letter now' I thought to myself.

I went up to my room and opened the dresser. That's where I kept the letter. I opened the letter and a small gold yen coin fell out. One gold yen?*

How did he even get this?

I put the yen down and read the letter.

Dear Y/N,

it's been and eternity since i've seen your glowing eyes. youre so pretty. i miss you! lets get married as soon as we both become demon slayers, ok? i want lots of children by the way! your brother also says hi. anyways cant wait to see you soon my love.

Yours truly, Zenitsu

Is it possible to internally be disgusted? How can someone already talk about marriage and children, when we are still children ourselves?

I don't understand him, nor do I want to.

"Are you finished yet?" A voice called from behind me.

Muichiro's back?

"Oh- yes- I'm finished!" I quickly put away the letter and yen coin.

"Good. Be outside in one minute, today is your first training session." After saying that he left without giving me a chance to respond.

I quickly changed out of my normal attire and into something more training-type-clothes.

Walking downstairs I had goosebumps, it's my first training session with Muichiro after all.

What if I mess up big-time? What if I embarrass myself? What if he decided to quit being my teacher?

As I opened the door that leads outside I saw Muichiro sitting on the grass, lazily watching the clouds pass by.

He looks.. comfortable?

"Muichiro?" I tried to say aloud but it came out as a whisper.

I cleared my throat, "Muichiro?" I said clearly this time.

This time he heard me because he turned and looked at me.

"Are we going to train..?" I asked the boy.

He stared blankly at me like he had forgotten. "In a minute. Im watching the sky." He turned his head away from me and continued staring at the clouds.

I stood there waiting for him to finish, but as several minutes went by he kept watching.

I walked over the him and sit down next to him. Out of the corner of my eye I saw his head turn to look at me. I turned my head to look at him in response.

When he looked me in the face he made a facial expression that made it seem he just solved the world's hardest math equation.

He suddenly stood up, so quickly that the air aground us flew around. He looked down at me and gave me a hand. I put my hand in his and he helped me up. As soon as I was up Muichiro turned away from me. He picked up a nearby wooden sword.

He looked back at me with the sword in his hand.

"Do you see that attack dummy behind you? I want you to attack it with this sword until you detach the head from the body." He held the sword out to me.

I stared at the sword.

A wooden sword? It's not even sharp, it's dull. It's basically a stick.

"Well what're you waiting for?" He questioned me.

"..right" I grabbed the sword and walked to the dummy.

I swung the blade back and forth with all the power I had in me. Can this even be possible?

After time and time again my arms couldn't find the strength to swing the sword anymore. I let my arms fall to my sides and the sword drop from my hand.

"If you can't even cut this dummy's head then you should just leave." I heard a voice say from behind me. I turned to face him, to say something. I'm not sure what, but he had already headed back inside.

Leave?

I just got here, can I leave?

What would my brother and fiancé think?

They'd joke and laugh at me 'she really thought she had what it takes'

Probably not.

Still, it would be shameful to give up so quickly.

After a few moments of contemplation I slowly picked up the wooden sword. I struck the dummy over and over hoping, begging that it's head would at least come loose.

You could feel your body becoming more exhausted but kept on hitting. Your arms were already passed their limit and your legs were going to give out soon. You were sweaty everywhere and your breathing was uneven, yet you still went on.

You went on until you didn't.

First the sword fell from your grasp and as you went down to pick it up you fell too.

Unbeknownst to you, you were being watched the entire time.

Muichiro had been watching you from the window. He was sure you would've followed him back inside but alas you did not. So he had pulled a chair next to the window and watched you as you slowly lost your energy and fainted. He waited to see if you were going to move before slowly walking outside to where your body lay.

He smoothly picked you up from your spot in the grass and gently took you inside, to your room. He made sure not to make much noise. He laid you upon your bed and left right after.

It wasn't until a few hours until you woke up, you felt drowsy but wiped the feeling away. Eventually you realized that you had no memory of ever going to bed, you replayed the last moments you remember, which were your arms and legs aching and you swinging a sword at a dummy.

That's when you realized you had passed out.

And that someone had to have seen you passed out.

And that same someone had also carried you all the way to your bed.

That someone couldn't be anyone else except Muichiro.

You slapped both your hands on your face, out of shock but mainly embarrassment. You quickly got out of bed and headed downstairs.

You eventually found Muichiro in the kitchen, cooking some type of soup.

"Muichiro!" you shouted, the boy turned to face you with a look of confusion evident on his face. "I'm sorry! I didn't think I'd pass out like that and I—" he cut you off before you started to ramble on.

"It's okay. You can stay." And with that he ended the conversation. Although you still felt really embarrassed you tried to let it go.
