Its been 3 days since they met, and in fact talked, or well it couldn't be really called a conversation, at least not a good one.Quinn was not satisfied with the answer, she isn't a quitter. She would not give up.
Blonde haired girl would just stalk the dancer, to find appropriate moment to talk to her again, alone this time with no fuss, just them in nice atmosphere.
She got to know her this much to the point of walking after her to groceries, she would see April wear this baggy, sloppy clothes with her hair in bun. She would think that brunette looks cute like that, different and prettier than the stage clothes, or photo shoot outfits, or even the ones from music videos that she watched during lunch time in school.
She was genuinely amazed by the girl, she herself didn't know how it happened but the reason was one - Work It competition.
So, now, in this moment, she is hiding behind the glass of the store walls. April did caught her snooping. She let her dad pay for the products and she herself left the store just to find Quinn Ackerman cursing herself for getting caught on a red.
"It's you again. What are you doing here?", April asked, hands on a chest.
Quinn could easily see the other's face impression, thanks to the hat that girl wore, otherwise it would be impossible because of the sun.
April knitted her eyebrows together waiting for an answer that she already kind of suspected.
"It's about that offer isn't it? I already told you I don't want any part in this, no matter how much you're gonna pay."
"Well actually.. I didn't mean to pay.", Quinn said wishing she could use the monkey emoji that covers eyes. She felt so embarrassed.
All that April did was sighing and walking off. Before the latter, she was stopped by Quinn. "Please, can you once again reconsider this. Like think it through, it might be fun, it's something you have never experienced, think of it as a challenge.", Quinn tried her best to convince the dancer.
April turned to face the shorter girl, she was so close to snapping, but instead, "I said no, just give up already and leave me alone.", with that she got in the car, where her dad was already waiting, and drove away.
Quinn groaned.
The next following days April would see Quinn dancing, or at least, it seemed like attemption of dancing. While running in the park, she saw her - along with Quinn's best friend - by the tree, making terrible moves. April was confused at first, she shrugged off and got back to running.
Second time she saw her by the fountain, dancing, still not good but much better than the last time. It made April smile, she herself didn't know why she smiled. She didn't care about the high schooler girl.
She was in caffee, drinking coffee with her old high schoolmate, who was also her ex boyfriend, that she broke up with OVER A TEXT, he still does brings that up, although they are on good terms, no left feelings.
April got a call from the dance studio teacher, "There's this girl waiting here for you, she said she is close to you but didn't have your number so I'm just letting you know she is here.", the woman had said.
April quickly excused herself and got to the studio as fast as she could. When she got in, she didn't see her childhood dance teacher, instead, her eyes saw a certain short blonde girl moving to the song. April decided to watch, curiousity took her over. After many mistakes made by Quinn she decided to put an end to it.
"You're doing it wrong.", April shouted so the other girl could hear her over the loud music. She walked up to the speaker to turn volume down a bit to not interfere the conversation, meanwhile Quinn was shocked by the dancer's presence, "You came.", she said.
"Of course I did, you called somebody close to me, didn't you know that words 'leave me alone' also means 'leave me alone, don't talk to me and don't contact me or anyone who knows me'?" April said sarcastically but putting a joke pressure on the last words.
"Sorry." Quinn laughed, brushing hear of her face while breathing heavily. "I decided to not waste time and practice a bit while I was hopelessly waiting for you. Can you uh tell me what am I doing wrong?", she asked.
A sigh could be heard for both of them. "Ah I guess, since we are already here, but afterwards please just drop the idea of me ever choreographing your team okay?", April said while walking up to the blonde girl.
Brunette wanted to put Quinn into a proper position so it will be easier for her to make moves. Starting with a waist, "Here, look yourself in the mirror, don't look at me, just yourself.", April said while the other nodded.
It was first time that Quinn had felt the other's touch, so smooth, so soft. "Straighten you back, move your left hand to your chest, here.", she then herself touched shorter's girl hand and putting it to the other's chest.
Quinn's eyes flickered from mirror to the hand on her arm. She then saw as April's hand lingered from her left arm to back, then to right arm, "Your right hand, straight, pointing to the wall. Keep the position. Bend your left leg a bit. And now move it will be easier.", with that being said April moved her arms still touching Ackerman's body, ghosting touch, showing the other what to do.
"Close your eyes, and feel it.", April had whispered to her ear. Blonde haired girl could feel goosebumps for a spare second, but then she relaxed in touched, and decided to move into the beat of the song.
April finally letting her go, to watch Quinn dance on her own, making proper dance movements. "There you go.", she whispered to herself, proud of her good job, the scent of Quinn's perfumes still making her dizzy - in a positive way.
Quinn had finished, and so April decided to turn off the music. It was just about the time for them to leave, in fact they should not be there in the first place.
"I'd still like you to choreographed us.", Quinn quickly said, out of her breath once again. Tired from her practice.
"Quinn..", April sighed feeling helpless on the other girl. "I.. can't."
"Can't or don't want? Because there is a difference between each you know.", Quinn said with serious impression on her face.
"I-", brunette was out of word, she didn't know how to play this out.
"Don't you wanna help somebody? You are good at this, you are a phenomenal dancer, and a good teacher apparently as you see. We won't take much of your time, I mean yes we are all green to this, besides Jess, she's amazing, but I think with your help we will be able to win this competition.", Quinn pleaded, now staying close to April, face to face, looking into her eyes. Searching the answer.
"April.. please. I nee- We. We need you."
Brunette looked at the other's face, conflicting, battling with her own thoughts. "Okay.. fine, I will do this.", she sighed already regretting the decision she made.
Quinn on the other hand started jumping out of happiness repeatedly thanking another girl.
"So.. why do you want to win a dance competition if you cannot even dance?", April had finally asked, hungry for an answer for last week.
"Well.."
