Izuku awoke in a hospital bed, instantly recognizing the room he was in as Recovery Girl's office. The smell of cleaning chemicals bugged his nose, and the white of the room was a little bright to wake up too. He groaned, his tentacles soar from lying down on them. He wasn't sure why he was in Recovery Girl's office, he was probably the least injured person there, somehow or another. He sat up, glancing around. There were curtains, preventing him from seeing the other beds, but Izuku knew that some of his classmates were in those other beds.

Classmates he had failed to protect.

And just like that, a gateway of negative thoughts opened in his mind.

I'm such a failure!! I couldn't save them!! I should've been stronger, should've gotten to Tsu faster, should've been able to help more!! Stupid, worthless, good for nothing, Deku...

Now they'll all hate me too, because I'm too weak. Now I'll be the target of everyone's anger again. Now I'll sit through countless beatings again.

Yeah, but I deserve it.. I deserve all the bullying.. After all, I'm just a stupid alien that can't do anything right!!

And... and I... I killed that villain....

I'm such a horrible monster...

"Take a swan dive off a roof, it'll do everyone a favor!!"

Yeah, then people wouldn't have to deal with an alien like me...

He gripped his hair tightly, tears streaming out of his eyes. Recovery Girl must've heard him sobbing, as she moved one of the curtains aside, walking over to him. She quickly closed the curtains again, and placed a hand on his knee. "Hey, calm down, dearie.." She said, and Izuku's eyes snapped towards her. He pulled his hands away, and quickly wiped his tears away. "S-sorry... I-I didn't m-mean to d-disturb you..." Izuku mumbled.

"No need to apologize, I can understand being worked up after something like that" Recovery Girl said. Izuku nodded, but he still didn't seem all that convinced. Recovery Girl sighed, "And don't worry, you didn't greatly injure anyone."

"B-But, th-that villain with a-all the h-hands!! I-I-I ch-choked him t-to d-death!! I-I'm a m-monster!! Th-they're right a-about me, th-they're a-all r-r-right about m-me..." He sobbed out in respose. Recovery Girl patted his back, a hard thing to achieve with his tentacles waving around wildly, "He was just unconsious. It wasn't long enough to kill him. Although, the villains did get away, thanks to that warp gate."

His tears reduced to a small trickle, and he wiped them away with a stray tentacle, gripping the edge of the bed with his hands. "O-okay... how's everyone else, then..?"

"Luckily, the only major injuries among your classmates was Asui, and she's almost ready to go now. Aizawa and Thirteen have some pretty bad injuries too, but they should recover quickly." Recovery Girl said. Normally, she wouldn't tell patients about another patient's state, but she was aware that it would keep Izuku reletively calm if he knew that no one had pernament damage.

She checked up on his vitals quickly, before giving him the go ahead to leave. He bowed slightly, "Thank you, ma'am"

Izuku then left the office.

The door to Height's Alliance closed abruptly, after Izuku walked through the door. All heads turned to look at him, and Uraraka practicaly flung herself at him. "Deku-kun!! You're okay!!" she shouted, hugging him tightly. Izuku hesitantly hugged back, his tentacles curling around her protectively. "Y-yeah, I'm fine... A-are you alright, Uraraka-chan..?"

She nodded, "Yeah, that attack was so intense though!! Who would've guessed that villains were gonna attack?"

Izuku tensed slightly, I had a feeling it would go wrong... Did she forget that I told her..?

He didn't say anything in response, instead continuing to hug the girl. After all, the hug seemed to be comforting to her. That was what was important, taking care of his friends. In the end, his emotions and feelings didn't matter, everyone else was far more important..

He rubbed her back gently, "they're gone now, at least..."

She hugged tighter.

Uraraka was probably scared, or maybe sad because Asui got hurt. Izuku knew that she and Asui were extremely close, like him and Shinsou, or Bakugou and Kirishima.

The truth was, she was worried about her alien friend just as much as she was worried for Asui. The thought never crossed Izuku's mind, though.

After all, why would anyone care for an alien like him?

"You sure you're okay, Deku-kun..?" Uraraka questioned. "Yeah, I'm okay.." He lied through his teeth.

No one had too know about his destructive thoughts.

Besides, comforting Uraraka was more important.

Wasn't it?

Aaaand, that's where I cut it off.

This is more just an aftermath chapter than anything, but it'll still be important in the future.
