A few weaks later, and Class 1-A had to go back to class. They expected for a substitute teacher, or maybe for one of UA's other teachers to take care of homeroom.

What they didn't expect, was for a mumified Aizawa to walk through the door that day. "Aizawa-Sensei, shouldn't you be resting??" Iida questioned, swinging his arms like how a robot might. Aizawa responded with, "I'm fine, get too your seat." His voice was muffled by all the bandages, but he sounded almost.. relieved.

"Now... I have a small announcement.." Aizawa said, once he had gotten up to the front. "The UA Sports Festival is coming up soon."

Ah yes, the UA Sports Festival. It was a mandatory thing, the Alien Hunters made sure it happened every year. People would watch the students fight each other for entertainment, betting on who would win. If Aizawa had a choice, he would make sure that his Problem children students wouldn't participate in that event. But, he didn't get such a choice, and the students had to praticipate whether he liked it or not.

"Kero, wouldn't that give villains another chance to attack us?" Asui questioned. "Yeah!! That was really scary!!" Mineta chimed in, shuddering at the memories of it. Aizawa sighed, "I tried to tell them that, but the Alien Hunters wouldn't listen. They claimed to have upped their security this year, and that by participating in this event, we'd be proving that we're still strong, even after that ordeal."

"But.... by making us fight, wouldn't that go against what this school is for..?" Uraraka asked.

"People don't care about that.." Midoriya said suddenly. He hadn't really talked all day, for some reason. Iida shouted, "Don't start this up, Midoriya-san. We already know that you don't like people."

Midoriya's head collapsed back into his arms, and he mumbled, "sorry Iida-kun..." Followed by something they couldn't understand.

"Quiet down, problem children. And yes Uraraka, it does pretty much go against what this school is supposed to be for." Aizawa grumbled, "Unfortunatly, there's nothing we can do about that."

"Now that that's settled, we're starting lessons"

"Y'know, I'm kinda pumped for this!" Kaminari said, as the class re-entered the dorms. "Yeah!! It'll be so much fun!!" Ashido cheered.

"Yeah, fighting eachother is fun.." Midoriya and Shinsou both said, sarcasm evident. Shinsou then grinned at Midoriya, "You have finally learned the ways of sarcasm!!"

"Aw, no need to bring the mood down, you two!! Sourpusses" Toru whined. Shinsou rolled his eyes at that, "oh no, I'm so sorry for having an opinion!!"

Midoriya on the other hand, looked away, and mumbled, "Sorry, I just... don't really like the idea of it... What if I hurt someone on accident?? What if I hurt one of you guys??? You're my friends, I don't wanna hurt you..."

"Hey, Midoriya-kun, it'll be fine. You won't hurt anyone." Shinsou said, placing a firm yet gentle hand on Midoriya's shoulder.

"Yeah, okay.." Midoriya sighed, as one of his tentacles wrapped itself around Shinsou's arm in a clingy manner. Shinsou looked at the tentacle, confused, but said nothing about it.

They both sat down on the couch, as everyone else went to do their own thing.

"Hey, Shinsou-kun...?" Midoriya said gently, and Shinsou hummed in response.

"Thank you... For being my friend."

Izuku lay awake in his bed, staring up at the walls, covered with superhero merch. His antenna were visible in his peripheral vision, glowing a dark blue color.

His antenna were blue alot. Blue, or purple. One ment he was sad, and the other ment he was scared, or more commonly, anxious. He wasn't suprised by that. He was a timid boy, and tended to be extremely emotional.

But the darker the color was, the more intense the emotion was. And this blue was so dark it almost looked black.

That was worrying..

It doesn't matter... you're an alien, your feelings don't make a difference to anyone. No one cares about an alien.

Shinsou-kun cares.. so does Mom..

But do I really deserve them..?

Izuku let out a heavy sigh, despite not breathing as much as most would. He was tired, and wanted to sleep, but his inner voice seemed to think otherwise.

He had a feeling it was linked to what had happened at USJ, and the upcoming Sports Festival. After almost killing the hand villain- he had heard that his name was Shigiraki from a classmate- his derogatory thoughts had been worse than ever. And to top that off, with the Sports Festival coming up fast, he couldn't help but worry about lashing out again, even with Shinsou's reassurance.

But, he couldn't express these feelings to anyone. After all, he didn't want to be a burden to anyone.

Being a burden would be bad, and he didn't want to be bad. Izuku wanted to be a good alien, not a bad one.

So he kept his thoughts as just that, thoughts. He was good at that, he had been doing it since kindergarden. Since the rest of class had been convinced that he was like an alien because of his analysis on Alien Hunters, and relunctance to show anyone his notebooks.

They were right, too... I am an alien.

He rolled onto his side, trying to get into a more comfortable positon and fall asleep. He wasn't going to spend another night hacking into some sort of sensitive information.

He closed his eyes, trying to push away the thoughts.

What was happening? He tried to open his eyes, tried to get out of bed to distract himself, but he couldn't move.

Sleep paralysis...

He could only sit there and wait it out, as the voice in his head yelled taunts at him.

At least he didn't see any sleep paralysis demon..

A/N

Fun fact, for some amount of time I was scared of getting sleep paralysis when I went to bed, so I'd try to twitch my fingers while falling asleep to make sure it didn't happen.
