There are many reasons why mirae hated to go to school. For example-school work, cold-ass classrooms, homework, teachers who don't know shit, and most importantly people. Now thanks to some people, another one got added to her list. The Royals (she still didn't understand the whole ordeal).

She most definitely can't skip school or her brother will drag her ass to hell, So here she was hiding in some bushes near the school gates, and thinking whether or not she should step inside the gates. She has been sitting there long enough to have some scratches on her upper arms and legs, moreover, the gates were about to close in ten minutes(but it didn't look like that other student cared about that fact cause only seven had entered the school gates in the previous half an hour).

With silent prayers to the power above in the sky, she got up from her crouching position and started walking towards the gates. She peeked in the guard's chamber's window and unsurprisingly saw the guard asleep in his chair with his cap covering his face. With a heavy exhale of breath, she stepped inside the gates. O Lord, O Almighty, please help your child in passing through these gates of hell. This child will always remember you in her heart, mind, and soul-

"THE QUEEN IS HERE!"

God what the-

She raised her head to find out that at least ten to fifteen heads were looking at here and more were coming towards her. Soon she was the center of attention of a mob of students. And guess what her mind told her to do? run.

And that's what she did. She ran towards the backside of the school and hoped for a back entrance or something. Soon she saw a door, went inside it, and quickly locked it. She stood still for a second and waited for some disturbance from outside but nothing came. She assumed that no one followed her here and sighed in relief.

She looked around the room she was currently in which looked like a laboratory. But the lab looked like it hasn't been used for years, which wasn't surprising at all.She saw a door parallel to the one she entered from and went outside the lab.

The hallway was deserted with not a single student in sight. The students must have gone in their classes. If it is same with the whole school it will be easier for her to sneak around until she get a perfect place to hide. Then she will stay their until the classes end. But then what about her classes? She can't play around with her grades like this.

She started walking towards the end of the hallway and didn't hear any footsteps or any other sound indicating the presence of any other student. She assumed the the other hallway was also empty. But she was still being cautious and tip-toeing her way across. Once she reached the end she peaked in the other hallway and to her relief no one was in sight.

"What are you doing?"With a yelp she turned around and saw Yeji in the same position as her. How didn't she noticed her?

"whom are we spying on?" Yeji asked her.

"No one!" She immediately said and straightened her position. Yeji followed her.

"What are you doing here?" Yeji crossed her arms and ankles and leaned on her right side wall. She was looking at her with questioning eyes.

"nothing, I was just- what are YOU Doing here and when did you get here ?"

"I got here when you started tip-toeing and you didn't notice me cause I am really good at sneaking they call me a cat-wait were you trying to sneak around so that the dreamies don't find you?" she looked at her suspiciously. Dreamies? wait the royals?

"n-no. Why would i do that"

"come on I know you need me right now and i know some places where we can hide" She winked at her and Mirae couldn't understand why she was getting a bad feeling about it.

"I don't want to trouble you. You have your classes right now and this is my problem so-"

"You really think I, out of all the people, would care about my classes?" Yeji said "come on i'll take you to a place where they'll never find you" Mirae was still not sure but she still followed Yeji who went in the opposite direction from where She was heading first. She was still skeptical but somehow, she had a feeling that she can trust Yeji. How ironic. after all the things that happened, she was still able to trust.

Both the girls stood in front of a door. Mirae felt weird looking at the door because it looked really heavy. But Yeji opened the door without any exertion and she had to follow her before the door closed. When she looked around the room she immediately understood the sole purpose of such a heavy door. It was sound proof. They were in a music room.

Mirae was really impressed. Like REALLY impressed. Why? cause this school was not huge like her previous school but was actually full of all the facilities a school should be able to provide. It was such a bummer that it was all going to waste.

Yeji motioned her to sit beside her. She sat down but was still looking around the room. Mirae loved singing but she was never able to join the music club in her previous school. Maybe she can try here.

"It is my second favourite place in this school" Yeji broke her chain of thoughts. Mirae looked at her and saw that she was already looking at her with a hint of smile. She probably noticed her observing the room. "You're welcome here anytime"

"Thanks" This place might become her favourite place. It was filled with all the silence she needed.

" You know we can stay here all the day. No one will notice, no one will care" Yeji said " except the dreamies" She added. Mirae looked at her with wide eyes. When is this going to end? Is she has keep hiding like this everyday? What about her classes? It is her second day in this school and a lot has happened since then but she still hasn't opened her books.

Yeji laughed at her reaction. Her laughter filled the room but it won't be heard outside. Mirae still looked at her with wide eyes. " You know I would have never thought that you'll be able to beat Jiya from how you are acting right now" Yeji said once she stopped laughing.

"I can't believe you actually did that. Were you like this also in your previous school?" Yeji said. " By the way how was your previous school? I am curious." She asked her. Mirae didn't wanted to talk about her previous school with someone else but she thought that it will be really disrespectful if she didn't answer.

"Well, it was really normal. Just a place where I used to go to get enlightened about some shit which i'll forget at the end of the day." She tried to be as usual as possible but Yeji was still curious.

" And what about your friends? You must have a lot of friends."

" No. Not a lot. Just a bunch." Mirae replied truthfully.

" Really? But you're a fun person to be with. I really enjoy your company. Or is it that I was a loner before you came." Yeji said. This caught mirae's attention. Yeji. a loner?

"Really? But i thought you must have a lot of friends judging by your looks and personality" Mirae said.

"I was the new student before you and these people really don't care about the new additions to their mob. I used to stay away from everyone. I wanted to be friends with people here but there aren't a lot of friendly faces in this school. Then when you came I really didn't wanted to be like me so I had a thought like 'Hey! why don't I become friends with her?' so i approached you and i must say i don't regret anything. At lesat you are not like some people."

This brought a smile at Mirae's face. No one has ever tried to befriend her it has always been her who used to approach people. But after what happened she thought she will never be able to do that again.

" I too enjoy your company. and thanks for helping me. Because of you I won't be a loner" Yeji smiled in response.

This is not as bad as Mirae thought. Maybe Everything will be normal here. Right?
