Second Encounter

"Ready?"

"Ready"

Yeji  has not even pushed the door open when mirae stopped her.

"Wait!" Yeji turned to looked at her "Do you have any idea where we'll be heading next? Is there any other place to hide?" Mirae questioned.

"you really think we'll be safe inside the school?" Yeji scoffed "We have to get out of here without them noticing." She herself was really nervous right now. The whole school is after them and if they directly came face to face with the dreamies, they will be done for. Yeji didn't know why is she is helping someone whom she met a few days ago. Only thing she knew was that she has to help her out. " Now the problem is, how the hell do we get out of here?"

Yeji peeped in the hallway " Maybe we can jump out of the window" she shut the door and looked at mirae " the one in  the hallway". Mirae looked at her wide eyed. " you want us to jump out of a window?".

"That's the only option we have and don't worry we are on the ground floor, we don't literally have to jump out of a window" Mirae still looked worried but she didn't vocalise her thoughts.

"But first we have to ensure that no one is outside the window" this time Yeji fully opened the door and stepped out precautionsly. When she was assured that no one was present in the hallway she motioned Mirae to come out. Both of them tip-toed across the hallway to the the window facing the backside of the school.

Yeji looked out of the window to see if any one was outside and being assured that they will run into no one she climbed on the window sill. " Follow me " She said and jumped off the window in the flower bed under it which looked like it has never been watered. Mirae mirrored her soon she also landed in the flower bed. 

"We have to climb the wall" Yeji told her when she saw her by her side " Using the back gate is out of options. can you climb a wall?"

" I can try-" 

"Don't worry I am very experienced, I'll help you" Yeji assured her when she saw her troubled face.

"Let's go" she said with her eyes sparkling " Damn, I love sneaking around"

With that she dashed towards The wall in front of them. If someone looked out of the windows of the above floors, they will be fully visible to them. Two girls wanted by the Royals trying to climb a wall. Is it a good time for the Mission Impossible theme?

Mirae fully trusted Yeji as she knew more about the school than her. But still she hesitated when She motioned her to use her knee and shoulder to climb. Plus they didn't know whats on the other side of the wall.

"Are you sure? I must be really heavy"

"I can handle that"

"We are both wearing skirts."

"Who's gonna look? but if you don't hurry someone's really gonna look and then we'll be as good as dead"

Mirae gulped and stepped on yeji's knee. She tried to find something on the wall so that she can lift herself up. Next she stepped on her right shoulder and felt Yeji hunch under her.She tried to minimize the pressure of her weight on her shoulder by pulling herself up. 

"Where do you think you are going?"

Then her foot slipped and she went crashing on the floor. Yeji gasped and hurriedly went for her aid. She looked up to see five students standing behind them. She groaned with both pain and realisation that they have been caught. Yeji helped her on her feet again and she felt a slight pain in her ankle. They looked at each other both asking each other what to do.

"If you let us I'll will treat you guys milkshake" Yeji muttered faintly. But they both knew this won't do any good. 

"Milkshake?" one of them said with a raised eyebrow. Looking at them they will be not be able to Take them all in a fist fight. So there is only one option left. "Why? want something else? How about Ice cream?"

"How about you come with us? after that we can have anything you want?" Now he had a stupid smirk on his face. The other four laughed on his shitty joke. it doesn't even come in the category of a joke. Yeji and Mirae again looked at each other. They both had same thing in mind.

"How about a 'no thanks'?" Yeji said with a smug look. Mirae prepared herself for her sign. " I have higher standards than this" 

His smirk dissolved into a grim look. " Get them!" he shouted to his fellow mates at the same time yeji shouted "Run!" And they both ran into opposite directions. Mirae turned to her left and Yeji to her right.

Mirae felt a dull ache in her right ankle which she assumed was from her fall from earlier. she was running weirdly because of the pain which also slowed her down a bit. Three of them were after her. she tried to run as fast as she can but they still were gaining on her. One of them caught her collar and pushed her to the ground.   

She tried to free herself from his grip but he was using all of his weight to pin her to the ground. Both of her wrists were held behind her back, she tried to wriggle herself out of their hold but didn't accomplish anything.

Someone pushed her on her feet and saw the guy whom Yeji dissed. He motioned the other two holding her and they practically lifted her and followed their leader to where she ran from. Their they met the other two who were dragging Yeji  back to their leader.

"Let's take you back to where you belong"

They started dragging them inside the school. Mirae looked at Yeji with wide eyes who mirrored her expression. As if on cue both of them started struggling in their captivator's hands trying to loose their grip. But they accomplished nothing.

They dragged them to the cafeteria where. to their horror, almost the whole school was present. The dreamies sat in the middle as if they were waiting for them only.

They made them stand in front of them. Suddenly both of them doubled their efforts to free themselves. Mirae heard a loud "don't touch my hair" followed by a smack. She looked on her right to saw one of the boys who were holding her lying face down on floor. She heard Jisung and Chenle laughing loudly. She herself would have laughed if she wasn't in the position of been held hostage.

"Good job boys, we knew we can trust you" the whole cafeteria went silent. Everyone anticipated Harchand next word. Everyone wanted to know what will happen to the queen who defied the king. It sure would be one hell of a an interesting sight. " Now you can let them go, I know they won't do anything further" he looked her in the eyes challenging her to do anything.

She froze in her spot. Yeji too stopped struggling. Haechan got up from his chair and stood on front of her. "I am asking you one more time" he looked her in the eye. Mirae wanted to avoid his gaze but she was strangely attracted to his eyes. They looked like they were twinkling. " Are you going to be the queen or not?"

She realised he was asking her and broke train of thoughts. The whole cafeteria was in pin-drop silence. Now everyone anticipated her word.

"No" she heard a few gasps " I don't want to involved in your stupid high school rituals" she heard Yeji curse under her breath.

Haechan smiled at her and she freaked out. "It's decided then" he said then he took a step back and addressed everyone in the cafeteria. Behind him, the other dreamies looked at her with pity full eyes. " Seo Mirae has refused her position as the queen which means two things. First, the position of the queen us empty right now and she is a normal student in this school"

"Now let's treat her as normally as we do to others" she gulped when she saw an evil glint in his eyes. She didn't understood what he meant by this but one thing was sure. It's nothing good for her.

And that's when she realised.

She fucked up.
