gordie lachance • wake up

I woke up to Chris yelling in my ear "Evie! Wake up! Fire!" I didn't move at all

"Dude she doesn't wake up to anything, even if the house was actually on fire" Vern says shocked and starts poking my cheek thinking I'm still asleep

"Vern, I will break your finger if you don't stop poking me" I heard a crash and laughter after I said that

I open my eyes to see Vern rubbing his head, Chris and Gordie were laughing at him "What did he do?" I ask sitting up and rubbing my eyes

"We all thought you were asleep so when you spoke up, Vern got scared and he tripped over a bag and hit his head on your dresser" Chris says laughing while Vern was pouting

I looked over at Gordie to see him with his usual cute smile on his face. He was looking at me and smiled bigger when I looked back at him "It's 11 am how are you and Teddy still asleep?" Gordie asks sitting on my bed

My head perked up a little "Wait Teddy is still asleep?" the three boys looked at me confused but Chris nodded, I smirked and the boys got scared

Being Teddy's sister, it's never good if you see a Duchamp smirk. Let me tell you this April 1st is a nightmare for anyone close to the Duchamp family. Pranks are also an all year annual thing in the Duchamp home so I knew exactly what to do

I got up and went to the bathroom to get some shaving cream and my hidden feather just for this prank

I heard shuffling behind me and I look to see Gordie behind me "What you doing to do Evie?" He says

"I'm getting shaving cream and my feather" I say grabbing them "and you are gonna do the feather Lachance" he smiles as he takes the feather and they quietly run into Teddy's room where Chris and Vern were already in

I grab Teddy's hand lightly and squirt a bunch of shaving cream in his hand while Gordie was right next to me with the feather

He lightly touched the feather on Teddy's nose and Teddy smacked his hand on his face causing the shaving cream to splatter everywhere

Teddy sat up and saw me laughing. Gordie was on the ground laughing so I'm guessing he didn't see Gordie causing him to chase me. We both ran downstairs and we got to the dining room

I was on one side of the table while Teddy was on the other side, we went back and forth til I got away. I ran up to my room and locked my door

I backed away a little til I heard banging on the door, so I turned around and tried to run into a hiding spot but I tripped on something. I hit something and fell on the ground, I heard a sound above me so I looked up

"Uh hi Gordie" I say to him, he looks down and blushes. I start to blush as well but reality came back and I heard the banging once again

"Evie! Open up!" I hear my brother yell as I looked at the door. I looked back up to see Gordie smiling at me, not in a creepy way but like a cute way

"So need me to help you escape from Teddy?" He says getting up and putting his hand out for me. I grab his hand and I stand up "Yes please but what are you gonna do?"

He lightly laughs and kisses my cheek causing me to blush a deep red "I know exactly what to do" he unlocks the door and steps outside. I press my ear to the door and all I heard was muffled talking

I hear footsteps coming to my bedroom so I hid behind my door. My door opens and Gordie walks in. I let out a sigh of relief realizing it was just him

"Your all good Evie, Teddy won't do anything today" I run up to him and hug him, Teddy always had the worse comebacks after he catches me pranking him so I was plenty scared of what he would do if he caught me earlier

"Thank you! You're my hero!" I hear him laugh and I slightly hug him tighter "I'll always be your hero Evie" we pull away from the hug and smile
