Team Flash walked into the cortex, heads down. Everyone had hoped Barry would come back. Caitlin most of all. Her heart kept breaking from the moment it failed to return to the cortex. So many memories... of her and Barry. She knew she was in pain, but she held it down. She was lucky that she had Frost to keep her company. She and Frost both felt the loss of Barry. But she couldn't show it. No one would notice except Cisco.

I noticed how Caitlin was acting. She can fool everyone but not me. I have known she had been in love with Barry since we met him. And I can tell, her heart was breaking. I was going to comfort her but something or rather someone by the name of Iris West had to have her say in this.

"I TOLD YOU TO JUST LET HIM GO. I DIDN'T WANT TO BRING HIM BACK FOR THIS EXACT REASON!!! CISCO, YOU GOT EVERYONE" S HOPE UP. AND YOU, WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?? IT FAILED, YOU CAN GO BACK TO WHEREVER YOU WERE FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS."

Frost wanted to take over and knock her down a few pegs along with that bitchy attitude she had. I would have gladly given her control, but it was not the time. Thankfully Cecile walked in with news that kickstart my broken heart.

Cecile walked in with news of Barry. She knew how hard it had to be on everyone for the 6 months. She was excited when she heard the news about Barry. But she also heard there was something wrong with him. She had hoped it won't be detrimental to them when they would finally see him.

Joe saw Cecile and gave her a kiss on the cheek wondering why would she be here?

"Hey, babe. What are you doing here? Is something wrong?"

"I've got news."

"News? about what? Said Iris"

"Not a what, a who."

"Barry"

Everyone in the room looked at Cecile with a glimmer of hope.

"Is Barry back?"

"Yes, but there something different about him. I don't know the feel details about it, but he is on the other side of town."

"Let's go get our boy then!!" Cisco exclaimed, fits pumping the air.

A few hours later.

Back at Star Labs, everyone tried to put their heads together to figure out what was going on with Barry. He was ranting words without any or strange meanings and he seems out of it. He had not known who the people were or even who he was, he wrote strange symbols on the wall and within the last few minutes, had begun to run around the lab, injuring Wally and doing major damage to the cortex. Frost would have shot an ice blast at it, but the tension was too great to even try an attempt. Instead, she found a cold gun and shot him, knocking him out and allowing the team to put him in the pipeline.

Even after being knocked out, he was still in the same state they found him. Still drawing symbols, still being incoherent. Of course, to add to their stresses, the samurai returned. With no way out of these, Cisco grabbed Caitlin aside, hoping to convince Caitlin to help them take down the samurai.

"Caitlin, we need to stop him. We need Frost."

"Cisco, don't you know that I want to help given that Barry is like this? Frost is itching to actually hurt this samurai and it's getting harder to contain her because she is so excited to blast him."

"Caitlin, I know. I understand. I can feel the tension. But I would like to think this would be the start of a Frost redemption arc. Plus, I think Barry would love having OG Team Flash save the day. Maybe more you than me but still. I also know the fact that you have been in love with him for the longest possible time since you both met. And given our current situation, combine with Iris being the naggy team leader which I still have no clue how she managed to become when Barry left me in charge, I would think that you and Frost would like to blow off some steam and hit things for once."
