It was very busy the next day. Robberies, metas, fires just plunged the day. Cisco was on Earth 19 with Gypsy, so Caitlin had to stay behind in the cortex to help Barry. It was lucky the fires were manageable, so Frost was not needed. Iris strolled in the cortex; happy Caitlin was here. She was going to draw out Killer Frost from Caitlin and saw the world the monster.
Putting the most innocent face she could muster, hiding any ill-intention towards her, Iris smiled and greeted Caitlin.
"Hey, Cait."
"Hey, Iris?" Caitlin asked, confused about why Iris was there.
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
"I've just left something in the lab and came her to grab it. It won't take long."
Caitlin sighed in relief. Iris was taking the breakup well. A bit too well for her liking. 6 months ago, she would have not given it a second thought. 6 months of being around metas and criminal and low life thought her otherwise.
"Frost you there?"
"Need me to take over just in case Little Miss Reporter tries something?"
"You read my mind."
"I am in your mind, you dumbass."
"Whatever just take over."
Frost took over, seconds before Iris pulled out the another pulse gun that Harry frequently used.
"Well this is new, are you sure about pointing the gun at me," Frost said as she held her hands up, caution of what Iris might do next.
"I'm pretty sure. You may have the whole world fooled but I know you are the same monster you were 6 months ago. You were gonna destroy my life back then, and you are destroying it now."
"Lady, I have no idea what you are on about. Maybe 6 months ago but I have done nothing wrong to you ever since. What makes you think I want to destroy your life."
"Barry called off the engagement and broke up with me. I heard you and him talk and I saw your interaction. You are taking Barry away from me."
"Me, taking Barry from you? It is not my fault he got perspective from his time away. It is not my fault he started to defend his friends instead of always thinking about you. If anything, you took Barry from us, his friends. Me and Caity will always hold that we betrayed him. I JUST WANTED ACCEPTANCE FROM EVERYONE, AND YOU HAD TO PULL HIM AWAY FROM US. PUSHED HIM NOT TO ACCEPT ME. SAVITAR ACCEPTED ME AS WHO WE ARE. WHEN THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE DON'T ACCEPT THIS CHANGE, YOU SEEK OUT THE PEOPLE WHO DO. BUT THAT WAS A MISTAKE. A MISTAKE I HAVE TO LIVE WITH NOW. "
"Get over yourself. Do you think Barry will love you? After all you did? I can see it in your eyes, you are in love with him. But with this, I will make sure Barry will never come to you. I will make sure you never experience his love. You will never find love at all. YOU ARE A MONSTER."
Iris shot the pulse gun and Frost threw up and ice wall, but it was not enough. The force pushed her back slightly. Frost aimed at Iris, but she promised not to kill. The pulse gun was not made to kill but to subdue. Plus, Barry may never forgive her if she had killed Iris. She aimed her aim and frost blasted the pulse gun out of her hand, accidentally hit the samurai head and destroying it.
Barry came in seconds later, questioning what was happening.
"What happened here?"
"Your ex-fiancé happened." Snapping at Barry and looking at Iris.
Iris not expecting Barry to return earlier tried to lie her way out. For a journalist, she was terrible at lying.
"Lies!! She lost control and attacked me."
