Harper’s POV
“Okay, so I think we should split up,” Ashton speaks to us all as we stand in the middle of the living room. The television has just turned off and we are all staring at each other as if silently asking what we should do about the ‘clue’ hidden in the house.
“Ash, I don’t think that’s such a good idea,” Sahara murmurs from beside him, as she curls into his side. Her hand slipping into his own. I agree with Sahara, but then again the sooner we find this clue the sooner we are to figuring out how to get out of this Hell that we have been thrown in .
“We have to if we want to find this clue,” Ashton murmurs, giving Sahara a sympathetic look before turning to all of us with a fire in his eyes that shows us all his decision is final. I find myself nodding my head in agreement with him. We need to find this clue, and soon.
“Okay, how should we split up?” I ask, and I feel Luke tighten his grip around my waist. His chin resting on my shoulder.
“Well I’m going with you, babe,” he murmurs in my ear, and I turn my head slightly to kiss him on the cheek. He better be coming with me.
“Since the only ones that really know what is usually in the house are us four, we should be leaders,” Ashton states, pointing to me, Luke, Sahara, and himself. “Luke, Harper, and Mikey you guys can go upstairs. Sahara, me, and Mr. Winchester will go downstairs,” Ashton says firmly.
“What about us?” Calum speaks up from the couch that he has been sitting on for the past hour. I look over to see that Satine is cuddled into his side, her shirt pretty much hanging off her shoulder so her boobs are showing. Why Calum, why?
“You, Satine, Ethan, and Officer Berkley can stay in the living room in case the television turns on again. If anything happens or you see anything all you have to do is yell and we will all be back,” Ashton answers and the four nod. I see that officer Berkley opens his mouth as if he is going to protest being stuck with the three most unknowledgeable people in the group, but closes it again when Mr. Winchester gives him a slight shake of his head.
“Alright, come on guys,” Mikey speaks up, suddenly eager to get this search started. I see him glance worriedly towards Sahara before coming over to Luke and I. When I look towards Sahara though she is watching the three of us with a glare on her face. Hm, I will have to ask about it later.
I feel Luke release one arm from around my waist but he keeps a hand firmly on the small of my back, guiding me up the stairs after Mikey. I let out a sigh as we walk up the large amount of stairs. What are we even looking for? What could this psycho have hidden?
“Okay, so where should we look first?” I ask as we get to the second floor and see all of the closed bedroom doors.
“Jesus, how rich is Irwin?” Mikey gasps in front of me as he takes in the long hallway filled with rooms and the expensive art hanging from the walls. I can’t say I blame him, the first time I came to the beach house I spent about two hours just walking through so I could see all of the decorations.
“Let’s start from the end and make our way back here,” Luke suggests, taking my hand and pulling me towards the door at the very end of the hall. I nod and follow him, waiting as he opens the door and takes a look around before allowing Michael and I in. “Okay let’s just look for anything that seems out of place,” Luke speaks up, letting go of my hand to go look by the bed.
Once we canvas the whole room and find nothing we go towards the next room, searching in silence yet again, none of us know what we are looking for. It’s just a blind search.
“Um guys, I kind of have to use the bathroom,” Michael speaks up once we make our way to the third room. I look over at him to see that he has a pained expression on his face, and his legs are crossed. He looks like a little child trying to hold it in or else they will get in trouble.
