Ch 2: The Teddy

It was the time of evening when Yunlan received a call from his office and he informed Wei and left.

Wei understood Yunlan's job very well so he didn't stop him from even knowing that it was holiday and also their family time.

Now Wei had a greater responsibility and that was how will he convince little Lan lan who was sleeping soundly in his room dreaming about his new teddy.

When Weilan woke up, he came to Wei and asked,"Mama where is Dad? We need to go or else we will be late."

"Shhh", expressed Wei putting finger on his lips. "Lan lan, Dad went for his job urgently. So now I have a secret plan."

"Oh no Dad left. So what can we do now Mama?", asked Lan lan a bit upset. "I have decided to take you to the market and we will buy the best teddy for you. And surprise dad with it. Then we will tease him that he was not able to join us.", said Wei and Weilan started laughing and agreed with Wei immediately.

Really Wei knew the Art of handling a child so nicely.

They both got ready to go to the market and Wei informed Yunlan about it through text message.

Weilan held Wei's hand and they both walked to the nearby market. They walked through the market finding the toy shop. They stopped when they found a big one.

Weilan was very excited for the teddy and even before entering in, he spotted the largest and cutest teddy bear kept on the display window of the shop.

"Mama I want that.", said Lan lan pointing towards the largest teddy. "But baby it is too large. May be bigger than you then how will you handle it.", said Wei.

"Mama leave it up to me. I will manage. But I want it.", said Weilan. Wei agreed to his demand but now the problem for Wei was how will he carry such a giant teddy?

Wei asked the shopkeeper to give him a bag with wheels to carry the teddy till home and that he would return it later. The shopkeeper got ready for it and they left.

Weilan was very happy to get his new buddy. He was dancing with joy holding Wei's hand. Wei was very happy to see his son so happy.

As it was night already and also to avoid carrying a large bag everywhere. Wei decided to go home and as Weilan was also very excited to sleep with his teddy, he agreed to go home.

While going, on their way they saw an ice cream stall. So they took the ice cream.

"Mama can we go to that nearby park please. I'm a bit tired.", asked Weilan and Wei agreed to go there.

The park was beautiful and peaceful. As it was night so nobody was present in the park. Just Wei and Lan lan. As they went to sit on a bench, still eating their ice cream.

When Weilan finished eating his treat. He asked Wei to take out the teddy.

As Wei took the teddy out, within seconds Lan lan grabbed it and hugged it. Wei was very happy to see his adorable son.

While they were sitting there. Suddenly an object came flying towards them. Wei sensed it and dodged it. It was a rock.
