Ch 3: The Jolt

Wei got alert and Lan lan was scared. "Don't worry baby. Just hold your teddy tightly, close your eyes and hide under the bench", said Wei gently to Lan lan and he simply followed what his Mama said. Wei stood up from the bench and shouted,"Who was it? Show your face coward."

After Wei stood suddenly a person with mask came from back and was about to attack him from the back with a wooden stick, when Wei turned back and held his stick and started beating him with it. In between Wei took out his phone quickly and dialed Yunlan's number which was at the top and again kept his phone back so that Yunlan can trace his location.

When Wei was fighting with the first person, four new masked people surrounded him. Wei got ready for some action.

"Tell your husband to leave our Head, whom his team caught today otherwise you will die for him and we simply don't want to kill such a beauty. So you better take care. And where is your son? He is a kid and I also don't want to kill him at such a young age. Today we are just going to beat you and play with you. So don't worry.", said one of the masked men.

Before he could speak further he got a sudden blow on his face. It was Wei who gave a high kick directly on his face and he fell down.

Now the other three came forward and started attacking Wei. They didn't know that they just did the mistake in trying to hurt this smart man.

Wei's punch landed on all of their nose in a lightning speed. Which made them numb for few seconds and in that time, Wei just beat them until they laid flat on the ground.

Wei thought that they all were heavily injured and so he decided to leave the place quickly with Lan lan who was hiding under the bench with his eyes closed. He was going to Lan lan quickly when suddenly gunshot was heard and Wei's back got a painful hit. As he turned back another bullet pierced through his shoulder. He became dizzy due to the gunshot and fell to the ground.

"I already told you I haven't wanted to kill you but you really are something. So, this is a present for your husband.", said that masked man.

Wei wanted to get up but he just failed. The pain of the bullets made his body numb and the darkness was about to surround him when he saw that Lan lan wasn't hiding anymore and was running towards him. Wei tried to gesture him to not come.

When Lan lan heard gunshots he got scared and opened his eyes to find his Mama lying on the ground. He threw his teady and started running towards him while crying out loudly when suddenly he got a pain in his chest and this time Weilan got a bullet on his chest and he fell on ground holding his chest with a loud shriek.

Wei was about to black out but the scene in front of his eyes brought a pang in his heart. He applied his full strength to get up but he failed again so with little strength he had in him he started crawling towards his Weilan.

"Lan lan talk to Mama, don't close your eyes.",said Wei but there was no response.

Wei's world shattered into bits of pieces. And he managed to reach towards Weilan, he started caressing his face and felt that Lan lan isn't breathing. Wei hugged Lan lan and cried heavily until he lost his consciousness too.

The main culprit ran away leaving behind his companions.

As the park was in an isolated area there was not a single trace of human at this time of night. The park which seemed to be peaceful became a death spot.

Yunlan who was hearing everything on his phone while rushing towards the park was crying heavily. When Wei called him he got very scared to hear sounds of those men fighting with Wei and so without wasting anytime he called his team to track the location and reach there.

When Yunlan heard the gunshots he was not able to control his self, "Wei! Wei!", he shouted on the phone. Yunlan was very nervous and was not able to think good. He was crying heavily.

When he reached the location his assumption became true. He just ran towards his pieces of heart which were lying there on the ground embracing each other.

He went there and checked both of them out and found that Wei was breathing very lightly but Lan lan was not breathing at all. His horror became his reality, he was crest-fallen. Without thinking further he carried both Wei and Lan lan together in his arm and started running towards the ambulance which he brought with himself. He just kept on crying chanting,"Wei! Lan lan!"
