Ch 8: Happy Family Again

In the clothing store when Shen Wei went to change his clothes then only Yunlan and the boy were left. They both already changed their clothes.

Yunlan was finding a chance to talk to the boy in alone and here it was.

"Did you come here alone?", asked Yunlan and the boy nodded. "What is your name?"
"Xian"
"How old are you Xian?"
"I'm eight years old."
"Where is your home?"
"For now I don't have home."

"What do you mean?", asked Yunlan in confusion. "Actually two days ago my grandmother went far away from me to the heaven. So, the house owner took away his house back along with some belongings I had as we didn't pay the rent and I was left to stay outside. I spent two nights in the nearby park and ate the food from the money that some people gave me thinking that I'm a beggar. I took the money because I did not know how to survive.", said Xian. Yunlan was not able to believe that a little boy went through this. He thought that the people are so selfish.

"Little Xian what about your other family members?", asked Yunlan again. "There is no one. I'm an orphan. I lost my parents a week after I was born. Grandma told me that we got bankrupt due to some reasons and so we became poor.", said Xian. Yunlan was a bit upset to think about the hardships that the boy and his grandmother might have went through.

"Are you feeling sad for me? Please don't feel sad. Because I have always learned to manage myself and I try to enjoy my life despite of all those difficulties. Hakuna Matata", said Xian.

Yunlan just remembered Weilan who also used to say 'Hakuna Matata' and tears of happiness filled his eyes. Now even Yunlan was able to see Lan lan in Xian.

"You know I had a baby just like you and he was very cute but then he left to heaven leaving us behind.", said Yunlan gently.

"Oh that's why that beautiful uncle was calling me Lan lan because he might have thought me as him. He is your husband right. Don't worry uncle my mother, father and also my grandma are in heaven they will take care of him.", said Xian. Yunlan was amazed by the words of Xian. He just can't believe that a small child can be so mature.

Yunlan was about to say something when suddenly the door of the changing room opened and Wei came out.

"Can you come with us to our home?", asked Yunlan quickly and boy nodded and said,"Thank you." and hugged Yunlan.

Again Yunlan held up Xian in his arms and then Wei came. Then they went to the home.

In the home when Wei was cooking, Yunlan took the boy to a room. "Xian I want ask you something very important.", said Yunlan.

"Can you be our Lan lan, our son? Can you stay forever with us? Can you accept us as your parents? Can you call me Dad? And Wei as Mama. Can you?", asked Yunlan, so many questions to Xian.

After hearing this Xian was silent and then he started crying heavily and hugged Yunlan dearly,"My Dad."

Calming down after sometime Xian said,"Thank you so much for accepting me as your son. I will try to be a good son and will never trouble you. I always prayed to God to have my parents and see he did listen me."

"Thank you so much for coming in our life because of you my Wei came back to normal. You are a blessing baby. You are my Weilan. My Lan lan.", said Yunlan as his eyes were already filled with tears which were about to fall as the little wiped them and hugged Yunlan.

"So from now on will my name get changed to Lan lan.", asked Xian. "If you want then.", said Yunlan. "Please call me Lan lan. I feel good hearing it. When Mama called me Lan lan I felt do attached. Today is the best day. I got my parents.", said Lan lan jumping with joy. Now Yunlan completely considered him as his Lan lan. 

Xian was very nervous in the beginning but the little boy's sufferings taught him enough in life so, when life gave him a chance for happiness and a new life, he accepted it with open arms. Indeed it felt like a dream to him but he believed he was sent a gift from heaven and he was so thankful for that.

Yunlan remembered something and brought the teddy and gave it to Lan lan. Seeing such a big teddy made Lan lan too happy and he started playing with it. Yunlan was very happy seeing it. Slowly slowly Yunlan started making him aware of all the things and Lan lan kept on understanding with full focus.

They were talking more when Wei called them for dinner.

When Wei was busy arranging the utensils on the dining table then Lan lan came running towards him and hugged him tightly by his waist , "Mama!"

Wei asked him, "What happened baby?" and Lan lan said," Nothing. I just wanted to hug you.". Lan lan really feel so good when Wei hug him.

Hearing this Wei picked him up and hugged him tightly. Seeing such a lovely moment Yunlan also came and hugged them both. Again it was the sweet family hug. The family was complete again. They were happy to have each other.

Wei also got out from his illusional state soon. He cried a lot when reality hit him but it was the sign that he recovered from his trauma. "Our angel, Ah Lan!.... Our angel loves us so much that he has sent another angel to us when he himself was not able to come to us. My baby!... Please, be safe and happy in heaven baby. Mama Papa loves you a lot. Thank you, baby.....My baby! I'm sorry I couldn't save you.", Wei was in pain and Yunlan just soothed him with words and keeping him in his embrace. "Ah Lan! Now I won't do any mistake I will give all the happiness to the little angel whom we have now. I will love him and protect him. I'm sorry Ah Lan! For all the trouble I gave you.", and before Wei could say anything further Yunlan pulled him for a longing kiss.

Then on everything became normal. Yunlan officially made Lan lan their son. Also Yunlan started his own company and slowly became famous business man. Wei devoted his all time for Lan Lan, inspite of having a lot of work, being a Professor.

Lan lan got completely mixed up with them and loved them very much, his world was complete because of them. He never felt so loved ever in his life. He too loved both of them a lot.

Their world was filled with love and happiness again and the three lived as a happy family.
