OneSamantha's POV
'Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man's heart, and the fall through the air of the true, wise friend called Piggy.' I read from Lord Of The Flies in my room. Just as I went to get a snack, I heard someone knocking at the door. My father had always ordered me never to answer the door because it was invading his privacy. I walked to my bedroom door and heard them knock again, louder this time. I wanted to answer the door so badly, but I knew that I would be punished for it so i didnt. I sat down on my bed still trying to listen. Then I heard a massive bang and people running through the house.
After I heard the bang and the footsteps, I moved to the corner of my room and sat in the fetal position. I wasn't sad that I could die. I was somewhat relieved that I wouldn't have to live through my father's abuse anymore. And if i did die, if heaven was real, maybe i could see my mother again.
People say that your life flashes before your eyes and now I understand. Someone kicked the door to my room open. I kept my head in between my knees because I didn't want to look at my killer. I could feel footsteps approaching me and I couldn't help but slowly raise my head. When I opened my eyes, there was a tall and lanky man standing 5 feet away from me with a gun in his hand.
I looked the man up and down and noticed that he was wearing an FBI vest. I looked him in the eyes and he stepped closer.
"I'm Spencer," the tall man said as he crouched down to my level, "my team and I are here to help you".
I felt a tear drip down my cheek and he looked concerned. A few moments after, I broke into hysterics and I felt a warm body hugging mine. This was a feeling I hadn't felt in 2 years. After a few minutes when i stopped crying and i had caught my breath, he held out his hand to me and helped me up. He tried to take his hand away from mine as we walked out of the room, but I wouldn't let him. I hadn't felt human touch like this in so long, I couldn't just let it go. We walked outside and I saw my father being pushed into a police car. He resisted for a moment when he saw me.
"Samantha, you are my daughter. I know that you will continue what i have started" my father said, smirking as he was pushed into the car. I looked up to see Spencer looking down at me. I could feel my eyes tearing up and he gave me a side hug.
We walked out of the doorway and onto the driveway which was covered in police cars and black SUVs. Spencer guided me to one and I got in the front seat. i started playing with my fingers and cracking my knuckles because that's what you did when you got anxious. Spencer walked to the other side of the car and got in the driver seat. He turned to me and looked down at my hands. I could hear him wince at the sound of my fingers cracking and cracking.
"Sorry '' I said as I sat on my hands, trying to stop myself.
"Don't be" he said as he turned on the car.
"Where are we going?" I asked before he started to back up.
He stopped and looked at me.
"We are going to the BAU in Virginia" he replied, still looking at me.
"Oh okay," i said, "should i bring anything or would i be coming back here soon?"
He bit the side of his lip as if he was deep in thought.
"Sure, you should bring some stuff," he said as he took the keys out of the car and opened his door. I mirrored his actions and got out too. I walked around the front of the car where Spencer was waiting. He walked a little bit in front of me and I followed behind.
He walked into the room that he found you in and you stayed in the doorway. He looked very confused as to why you weren't already packing.
"This isn't my room," you said quietly look at the floor, "my rooms down the hall"
