Five

Samantha's POV

After about 15 minutes of Spencer rubbing my back, I was out like a light. I had a pretty long day. It has always been hard for me to fall asleep. ever since I was little, I would take a melatonin every night. Those would do the trick, but as I got older, they started to give me horrible nightmares so I stopped taking them. When I stopped, it was harder for me to fall asleep than ever.

I felt gentle hands touching my shoulders, shaking me lightly.

"Samantha? It's time to get up. You can go to bed. You should sleep in there" spencer said. I still had my eyes shut and when I opened them, I saw Spencer leaning towards me with a half-smile. I was too tired to even talk, so I just nodded and walked to the guest room. When I got to the door, I looked back at spencer and said "goodnight spencer. Thank you again" before walking into the room.

I didn't even bother putting on pajamas, I just pulled back the covers and climbed into bed. I still had the blanket spencer gave me and it gave me some extra warmth. My eyelids feel heavy and it was no use trying to stay awake. I was asleep again within moments of shutting my eyes.

Spencers POV

Samantha had just walked into her room. It felt so weird calling it 'her' room, but I was happy it was hers. I picked myself off the couch, turned all the lights off, and went to my own room. I grabbed some pajamas and went to brush my teeth. As I walked into the bathroom, I saw that Samantha had left one of the doors open. I didn't mind, I was only brushing my teeth.

After I finished my teeth, I walked over to her bathroom door and peeked into her room. Not to be creepy, just to make sure she's okay. I looked into the room to see a big ball of blankets on the bed. I walked into the room, just to make sure she could breathe, and I saw that she was rolled into a ball and had the blankets surrounding her.

She looked so peaceful, almost like when you see models pretending to sleep. Again, not to be creepy, but she looked so much happier when she was asleep. I closed her bathroom door as I walked out and I got into my own bed. I quickly checked my phone to make sure I didn't have anything from work and then I went to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of someone yelling in pain. I shot out of bed to see Samantha running her hand underwater, wincing in pain. I run to her side to make sure she is okay when I see bacon, eggs, and sausage on the stove cooking.

"What happened?" I asked, still concerned about her hand.

"I just burned it on the pan, I'm okay. I'm sorry that i woke you," she said as she looked at the floor, "i was trying to surprise you"

I pushed her chin up with my thumb and looked her in the eyes. Her blue eyes looked sad and tired.

"This is a great surprise, thank you," I said before giving her a hug. After our hug, I took her into the bathroom to help her bandage her hand.

We went out to the kitchen and the bacon was burnt.

"Yum! I like it burnt ''I said, trying to cheer her up. She let out a little giggle and she turned off the stove. She took all the pans and transferred them onto two plates. One had more food than the other. She handed me the one with more food and I sat down on the couch. She came and sat beside me and we ate together.

It was nice.
