Six

Samantha's POV

After Spencer and I had finished our breakfast, he went to get dressed. I always got dressed when I first woke up because I never felt comfortable around others in my pajamas.

I went to brush my teeth again to make sure that there was nothing in them. I didn't bother closing either of the bathroom doors as I was just brushing my teeth. Spencer walked in after he was dressed and brushed his teeth as well. There were 2 sinks so it worked well.

Once I finished, I asked Spencer if we were still going out like he mentioned. Still brushing his teeth, he nodded. I replied with a simple 'okay' and went to my room.

I had nothing to do so I just layed on my bed. After about 5 minutes, I heard footsteps. I sat up to see Spencer standing in the doorway. He started me so I jumped a little bit.

"Are you okay?" spencer asked. He must've seen you jump.

"Yeah i'm good, i just get startled easily" i answered, giving him a small smile.

"Oh okay, are you ready to go?" he asked and i nodded. We walked out of the apartment and outside. It was colder than yesterday. I tried to walk to the car quickly so I wouldn't be covered in goosebumps. That's another thing about me, I get super cold easily.

I made it to the car before Spencer so he pressed his key fob to unlock it. I hopped inside and crossed my arms, rubbing my hands across the opposite arm to try warm myself up. 

Spencer got into the car a few moments after me and put the key in. He looked over at me rubbing my arms and quickly turned on the heat. I turned towards him and gave him a smile that said 'thank you'. He got the message.

He started to drive out of the parking lot when his phone started to ring. He picked it up quickly.

"Hello?" he said as he picked up.

"Hello, my boy genius. I tried to call Samantha's home phone and she didn't pick up. I just wanted to make sure the two of you were okay." a familiar voice said through the phone.

"We are okay Garcia. Thanks for checking on us" he said. They talked for a minute more before ending the call.

Spencer turned to look at me and I did the same.

"Let's get you a phone!" he said. He sounded somewhat excited.

"I've gone 13 years with one, I think-" I was going to say something else before Spencer placed his pointer finger over my lips.

He pulled his hand away and I looked at him surprised. I didn't say anything and neither did he.

We got to the mall where there was apparently a small IKEA and a cell phone shop. We both got out of the car and walked to the mall entrance. As I walked through the big glass doors, I saw many people. Lots looked to be around my age or a little older. I didn't stop to take anything in because it was just a mall. Spinner led me to the cell phone shop first because he figured that would take us the longest.

When we walked into the store, a land with blue hair greeted us.

"Hi there, is there anything I can help you with?" she asked. I looked up at Spencer and he was talking to the young lady.

"Actually, yes. Samantha here is looking to buy her first cell phone ''Spencer said, looking down at me smiling.

"Okay, I have some things in mind. I'll be right back" the girl said, before disappearing behind some big metal doors.

She came back a few minutes later with 4 small boxes. She waves for us to come over so we do. She explains how old each phone is, the features that each one has, the cost, and etcetera.

I looked up to Spencer for his approval before grabbing the first phone she had shown us. He looked down, nodded, and smiled. I smiled back and grabbed the phone.

We went over to pay, well I guess spencer went to pay. The phone cost about 800 dollars. Your eyes widened as the girl read the price off to the two of you. Spencer looked at me and didn't say anything. He just gave me a very thin smile. I smiled back.

We walked out of the store and Spencer gave me the bag.

"I hope this is okay," he said.

"Spencer, this is amazing. You have been so kind to me in the past 24 hours and I'm so thankful to have you in my life ''I say as I give him a hug. He didn't hug back automatically and his body tensed up when I touched him, but after a few seconds he hugged back and I could feel his body relax.
