SNOWBLAST POV

Da made the plan to smuggle me back to Griffin Rock while the recruits were all on a practice mission, so I wasn't bombarded with questions. It wasn't that I didn't want to properly meet my family's students, but I just... didn't have the energy to deal with them just yet.

When I got up and off of the table in the medical bay, I only made it a few steps before my legs buckled from underneath me.

"Whoa! I got you!" Da caught me from falling onto my faceplate, "Take it easy..."

"I'm okay... Just still a little weak,  I guess..."
I grabbed onto his shoulder, letting him guide me out of the room and into the hall. I looked up at my hand and arm, giving a slight smirk. "You know... I don't actually remember transforming that first time... I was just suddenly in bot mode, you know...?" My smirk faded as I pondered it all, now that I had time to. "...Was it just in my head all along...?"

"No." Da sighed, "When I got here to repair you... I found that your T-Cog was corroded. It was out of alignment but just enough, and that hit you took knocked it into place."

My optics widened, "You're kidding... That was all it was...?"

"I'm afraid so."

I shook my head, "Sweet Solus Prime..."

"But it's over now. Now, you're just as perfect as I was always telling you that you were."

I smiled back at Da, and then we wandered down the hall towards the groundbridge. Within a few moments of buttons pushed and whirring mechanics, it was active, and Da led me through the bright colors.

It was considerably darker when we stepped out of the portal and it vanished, but my optics quickly adjusted and I saw the rest of my family standing there waiting for me. "...Hi..." I greeted with a slight wave.

Jack was trying to remain calm and collected like Uncle Chase, but Jolt was sniffling and her optics were welled with tears.

I got down onto my knees, reaching my arms out. "Come here..." I welcomed, and Jolt flung herself into my arms, wrapping her arms around my neck as she sobbed.

"I missed you so much...!" She whimpered into my shoulder, and tears welled up in my optics as well as I hugged her back.

"I missed you too...!" I whispered, looking up as little squeals came and out from the driveway came the triplets. Reverberate squirmed his way between me and Jolt so that he was settled on my lap, and Ashfire and Vibrato both snuggled my shoulders with honks. "And you three too!"

A few moments passed and Jolt finally pulled back to let me get up again with Da's help. "When we heard that you were hurt, I just... I couldn't take it! You're like my other big brother! It wasn't fair!"

"It's okay now, Jolt." I assured, putting a hand on her shoulder. "I'm back now, and I'm gonna be okay."

"Sure,"
Downpour came over and gently punched my shoulder, "But don't you ever do that again, you jerk! Even I was worried!"

"You? Never."

"I must admit, we were all quite concerned about your well-being." Uncle Chase informed.

"I'd be hurt if you didn't care, Uncle Chase." I teased, but then my helm started to spin again and Da had to catch me again. "Ugh...But I think I need to rest up some more before I get back to doing a lot of anything."

Da patted my shoulder, "Come on, let's get you to bed..."
He led me down the elevator, and then down the hall to our room, helping me get up onto the berth and then tucking the blanket around me. "I'll let you sleep in your own bed once I know you're able to catch yourself if you fall."
