Chapter 5~See you soon

~~~~(Max's P.O.V.)~~~~

I woke up with Ross in my arms wrapped around me. I lay my head on his head, not wanting to leave my position. But oh shoot that's right Jess. Hmm, I might as well go buy breakfast for us all since I don't feel like cooking and I rather spend a chill day. I try to sneak my way out of my room until I get stopped in my tracks.

"Come back" I hear Ross groan as he sits up. Now locking eyes with me as I turn around.

"Aww, Ross don't worry I'll be back," I say going towards my bed and giving a tight hug to a tired but adorable Ross.

"But I want you to stay with me. Also, where are you going this early?" He says while looking up. I swiftly grab his chin and make direct eye contact.

"Ross don't worry I'll be back I'm going to go buy us all breakfast. Plus you still look very tired so go back to sleep" I say moving towards his side of the bed and tuck Ross back into bed. 

I bend down and kiss him ever so softly on the nose before exiting my room. I tiptoed over to Ross' room and slowly poke my head, glad to see Jess fast asleep. Not wanting to stay out for long I quickly head out determined to come back home.

~~~~Time skip: An hour later ~~~~

~~~~(Ross' P.O.V.)~~~~

Mhmm, all I want to do is be in bed cuddled up right next to Max. Honestly, I didn't expect last night to go so well I expected a different turn of events. But then again I'm just glad it went how it did, now happy that was out of the way.

What about my feelings? Does he have feelings for me? I mean just because he reassured me last night, it could've been just as a good best friend would do when one's afraid. Does he even love me the way I love him?

 Do I even have it in me to tell him how I feel? I mean we've said I love you to each other in multiple occasions so did he really mean it; gosh I'm so confused. Suddenly my thoughts are interrupted by a sudden knock on the door.

"Hey, can I come in?" I hear Jess say with a bit of a squeal. Oh, shoot she'll know I slept in his bed. I quickly fit up Max's bed and head over to the air mattress glad that we still had it up.

"Yes, of course, come in," I say

"Hey Ross, where's Max?" She says looking around the room then quickly turning back to me.

"Oh, he went to buy some breakfast. He didn't say where he was going too" I say looking at her realized she didn't say anything about Mithross.

"Sooooo Ross, how's it going with you and Maxx?" She says sitting on Max's bed facing me. Well I spoke way too soon.

"Uhhhh nothing much just the usual uploads with youtube videos," I say, not trying to give anything away about last night. But then again I do want her input on something.

"Hey Jess," I say, feeling a bit nervous but also embarrassed about asking this type of advice from her but then again she is my best friend so I trust her judgment.

"Yeah what's up, Ross," She says and starts to smile waiting for me to continue. I take in a deep breath. It won't be so bad if I ask her right? Well what the heck I'm going to ask.

"Jess, how do you know someone likes you um in that way?' I ask as I see her face widen with joy. Oh, no bad idea welp can't go back now.

"Hmmm, why do you ask Ross, and to answer your question well it just depends like sometimes they'll contain eye contact or shy away at certain moments depending on the person".

"Oh okay, hmm" I nod to let her continue

"Well, touching is a good indicator that a person likes you or dislikes you. Let's say if you casually touch another person and they abruptly pull away, then that person does not like you or is not ready for a more intimate relationship. But if they don't pull away then that's a very good sign." She says waiting patiently for my response.

"Ah okay thanks Jess, that was very helpful," I say

"So wait are you telling me, that you have feelings for M-" Jess gets cut off by a sudden knock from downstairs. 

I quickly get up, gladly by the interruption. I don't like to lie to anyone and I know if she wasn't interrupted. Jess would've had everything revealed to her. I mean sure I love Max and always had now that I think about it. It's just now that love means more so I really hope he accepts my love and feels the same.

"Yes," I yelled running down the stairs, not too far behind I hear Jess. 

I open the door to see Max with four bags filled with food. Might I add that smelled delicious. I start laughing by the sight of Max peek through the bags with a cute grin on his face. I help him with the bags and we all walk to the kitchen to set down the food.

"So I didn't know what to get so I just got pancakes cause ya know it's IHOP," He says grinning opening up the trays

"Yes, it's a very iconic thing which I'm glad you did," I say laughing while walking to the living room tray in hand.

"Wow thank you so much, Max. I wish I could stay longer but I wouldn't want Jason to get too overwhelmed. So I'll have to leave with my food". She says coming around the couch to hug me and Max.

"Glad you mentioned that since I bought these other trays for Jason and the kids," He says grinning walking over to hand Jess the bags.

 We help bring the bags to Jess's car. We finally pull in for the last hug to say our final farewell and watch as she drives off. I was sad to see her leave but knew it was for the best, hope Jason was doing good on his own with the kids. I smile at the thought of them always brings joy to think about family. Sure Jess was just a bit too much but hey I still loved her like crazy because she was family. Even like that she not only helped me but Max as well and for that, I will forever be grateful.
