Chapter 11~Amazed

Author's note: In the story things that are said I'm not sure if they are true at least when describing things or facts. So I'm sorry if I have wrong facts, I will change them otherwise enjoy the following :).

~~~~(Pooki's POV)~~~~

After preparing myself for the worst scenarios, I'm still faced with doubts. What if I'm rushing into this, I mean sure I don't know what Jerry looks like. Still doesn't change the fact that my stomach is filled with butterflies and my heart in knots. 

I let my thoughts drift away and just think about the road ahead and trying to find him in this packed airport. Might be better on foot, finally after roaming around. I finally found a parking spot. Heading out I feel the butterflies start to flutter, Wait silly me I don't even know where his departure station is. Calling Jerry finally by the fourth ring he answers.

"Hey, what's up Pooki?" Hearing a hint of excitement makes my heart hurt with feelings but also happy with the cuteness to his voice.

"Doing good, look I parked the car but I have no idea where you are", I say looking around I finally step inside the building feeling the cool breeze of the air-conditioning hit my face.

"Hmm, where exactly are you at?"Jerry says I hear his footsteps through the phone.

"Look, is there by chance a cafe, where you're standing?" I say it sounds hopeful. I'm close to this beautifully decorated cafe that has a colorful palette of different items on the menu.

"Actually yes now that you mention it my departure is a few down from the cafe". He says, sounding surprised but happy.

"Great, now head to the cafe. I'll be seated at a table" I say, eagerly waiting after a few minutes I hear my stomach growling at me. Worrying about this whole confession was keeping my hunger at bay but since I'm relaxed it's hitting me all at once.

I stand up going into line glad to see no one there but a tall fine gentleman. I study his features a bit more while he isn't paying attention. His features are incredible, he has luscious brown locks, has a strong build, and his face soft with warmth. Has a tan tone to his body, looks like he's exhausted but still has a charming face lit up what I can assume is from excitement. Suddenly, I see him studying my features then has a grin spread across his face. He finally finishes his order and in one swift move, the handsome figure has his arms wrapped around me.

"I...OH, I'm sorry you must have the wrong person" I say, sounding confused but liking the fact that this overly beautiful person was confident to make such movements. The beautiful person moves away from their position then looks at me with a questioning look.

"Oh so by chance you don't recognize this voice either?" He says whispering in my ear. Sounding ever so seductively but then the realization hits with shock and happiness. My heart beats faster with the sudden rush of adrenaline running through me.

"JERRY?!?" I say, sounding more shocked but relieved. 

The barista clears her throat waiting to take my order. Oh shoot right, I feel completely embarrassed, I made her wait so long. Warmth rushing through my cheeks and down my neck. I finally order a pumpkin spice latte glad to see they have it already and a chocolate-chip muffin. We both finally headed back to the table I was seated in before that was away from all the noise.

"Surprised that it was me?" He says nudging my arm playfully looking at me with those beautiful eyes of his.

"Actually, yes I'm more than shocked but I'm also excited to show you around my hometown". I say, sounding eager. Finally, both of our orders are done, and might I add they smell wonderful. We tip the barista while finishing our orders and heading to the car. I grabbed Jerry by the hand without a second thought and glad to see a small grin on his face. Finally in the car and now our fun truly begins.

~~~~(Jerry's POV)~~~~

Finally being able to see Pooki's face and to have him right next to me brings joy to my heart. I even make sure to sneak in some glances while he drives and of course by being my sneaky self I don't get caught. Looking through the view of the road, the sun beaming through the window smiling brightly. Scanning outside the beautiful scenery seems like a wonderful fairytale the way the wind blows through the tall grass, seeing the peace through the drive. 

Finally, I snap out of glancing outside and focus my attention on the radio. Flipping through I find a song called Hurricane by Luke Combs. Gladly I plaster a small grin glad to see it has just begun. Realization hits and I see Pooki smiling looking at me. Somehow we communicate just by giving looks of happiness and we start to sing on point with each other hitting all the notes to the song.

After a while the song dyes, down with a couple of other songs, we sang our hearts out to.

"Okay we are finally here," Pooki says, his eyes beaming as we get to a stop.

"Where are we exactly captain," I say looking at Pooki, he starts laughing at my choice of words. I join in but what should I call him love right away? nope, that's way too soon and might come off badly by the way he takes it. I don't even know if he feels the same or even I'm getting over my head too much.

"Well my first mate we are here on a scurvy adventure but hey it's a surprise so close your eyes cheater". Pooki says now grabbing what I think is a blindfold from the back seat, he then motions me to face away from him. In a matter of seconds, my vision is pitch black. I hear what seems to be Pooki exiting out of the car a minute later, I hear pooki near me.

"Did you pack the clothes, I told you to pack like all the clothing?" He says sounding a hint of worry probably thinking that I didn't.

"Aye, aye captain I followed the orders given"I grin gladly, he guided me on what to wear on my trip over here cause I didn't know what to bring. Pooki saved me and I'm glad for him being here with me.
