Madison's P.O.V.
"Colby?" I ask as I wake up because I didn't feel him beside of me.
I check my phone. I see the reminder that my baby doctor appointment is today at 12. I look at the clock and it's 10. Oh no.
Where the hell is Colby. He can't miss this appointment. It's so important.
I know you can see the gender sooner but we wanted to wait until we just couldn't anymore and now we want to know.
He cannot miss this. He simply just can't.
I quickly dial his number and it rings all the way though and goes to voicemail. The funny part is that it happens every single time that I call him.
So I try the next best thing. Sam.
Sam| Madison
"Hello?"
"Hey Sam. I'm so sorry to bother you right now but do you know where Colby is by chance?"
"Oh um yeah he's in his room here."
"Oh that's amazing! Could you wake him and get him home? The gender reveal appointment is today. I need him to be there."
"Oh on second thought, Kat checked and he isn't here. I'm sorry I don't know where he is."
"Oh, alright. If he gets a hold of you will you tell him?"
"Yeah for sure."
"Thanks."
End of conversation
He just lied to me. He said he was there and then when I told him he changed his answer. Wow. I wonder where he is.
Colby's P.O.V.
I hear my phone ring 5 different times but I don't care. I'm sleeping and if I don't answer the first time then I'm definitely not answering the other four.
It goes silent for about 20 minutes and then another call comes though.
"Damn."
I sigh and answer it.
Colby| Sam
"Hello?"
"Dude, you need to fix yourself right now. I don't know where you are but it's definitely not your house with your pregnant fiancée."
"What do you mean? I'm laying right next to her."
"Then why is she calling me freaking out about the baby gender appointment in an hour?"
"Shit."
End of conversations
I check my notes. It really is the baby's appointment. And she has called me 5 times and I just ignored her.
Wait, if this isn't her and I'm not home, who is this and where am I?
I look around and at the girl.
No. Freaking. Way.
It's that Amber chick from forever ago. Oh my god. I cheated on her. I cheated on my pregnant fiancée with the girl she hates the most. Oh my god.
"Quit making so much noise." She stirs. I jump up and put on my clothes and grab my keys, phone, and wallet and leave.
What have I done.
Madison's P.O.V.
As I'm unlocking my car to leave I see Colby's car pull up right next to mine. Man am I pissed.
"Are you serious right now Colby?" I ask as soon as he gets out of his car. "I have to go to my appointment alone and you look like hell. You swore to me you wouldn't go crazy on the alcohol. I knew something was up when you didn't promise. I can't do the stress. I'll deal with you when I get back."
I get in and he rushes to my side. The door open because he won't move.
"No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do this. Just let me know how the baby is okay?" He asks in tears. I scoff and when he finally moves, i shut the door and pull out.
The whole drive to the doctor, I'm pissed. I'm not going to cry about it. I'm going to go see if my baby is a boy or a girl and see if it's healthy. I don't give a shit about Colby right now. It's not about him.
I get to the doctor and they call me back. I put the gown on and get ready for her to look at the baby and wait for a few minutes.

I shake it off as the doctor walks in.
"How are you doing today, Miss Barone?" She asks with a smile on her face. I fake a smile back.
"Great, I'm very excited." Now the last part is true. I am excited about my baby.
She sits down and turns the machines on and squirts my belly with the gel. She then takes the scanner and starts to look for the baby.
"There he is!" She exclaims.
"I'm having a boy?" I ask in an excited voice.
"Yes you are. And he seems to be very healthy." She emphasizes the very.
"Thank you." I tell her as she goes to print the pictures.
Skip the car ride home
I walk in and Colby instantly runs up to the door.
"How was the appointment?" He asks, hopeful.
"It was fine. The baby is healthy and we are having a boy." I smile. I am so mad but how do you say that without a smile.
"Oh my gosh, that's great." He goes to hug me but I pull away.
"I'm still mad. You need to explain yourself." I cross my arms over my belly.
I can tell that he clams up and gets nervous as this topic approaches the conversation.
I walk in the living room and sit down and he sits across from me.
"We went our last night and I had too much to drink. I knew I shouldn't have picked up the first one but I did. The next thing I remembered, that Amber girl showed up and we started dancing. We got a little too carried away and went to her place. I didn't tell Sam. I just left with her. One thing lead to another and I slept with her. That's where I was all night and this morning when I was supposed to be here." Colby says while letting a few tears slip every now and then.
"So let me get this straight; you aren't going to lie about it? You had too much to drink and slept with Amber? While I'm over here knocked up because of your dumbass and you cheat on me?" I ask with tears threatening to fall.
He nods. I take off the engagement ring and give it to him.
"I'm sorry." He says quietly.
"Get out." I tell him. He walks towards me like he's going to try to start pleading. "No, leave Colby. I want your stuff out of here tomorrow."
"Okay." He sniffles and grabs his keys and leaves.
