"Hey, are you ok?" Axis, I assume, crouches to look at me.
This could be a problem, "Y-you're awake?" they weren't supposed to be awake, I wasn't anything special. How can this be happening?! Will the government try to make me disappear like the others? Are they watching now? What if-
"Hey, you ok?" Seth, I assume, repeats Axis' question, snapping me out of my mind-rant, bringing me back to the reality of the situation.
"U-uh-- No.. n-not really..." I sutter. Axis and Seth exchange knowing glances, leaving me confused, "What?"
"Sorry," Axis states, "That was a bad question. We knew that answer already. You just seem.. odd, why?"
I stare at him, mouth slightly ajar, before saying, "You're only supposed to have one guardian, and usually a demon or angel. They're usually completely dormant."
Both Axis and Seth look confused, then a little concerned, then nervous.
Seth speaks up, his voice a little less gravely than earlier, "What happens to the person when guardians awaken?"
I stay quiet, shifting my gaze away from the portal to the floor.
Seth realizes what I mean quickly, "Oh."
Axis pipes up in his usually cheery, happy tone, now serious, "You should probably conjure us."
I was confused, I'd never learned this, no one thought anyone would really need it. Ever. "How do I-"
"Put your hand on the portal, push through the barrier." Axis cuts me off, I do as he said.
A feeling, similar to that as pushing through a whole lot of spiderwebs would feel, covers my arm, about up to mid-fore-arm. I see my hand on the other side, before I can react, Seth and Axis grab my arm.
"Pull back, and that's it."
I do as he says, quickly have the weight of 2 people fall on top of me. Axis stands, allowing both Seth and I to stand, he brushes himself up before Axis offers me a hand, I take it, standing myself.
"Sorry about that, now, what do you say we get some rest?" He flashes a sunny smile before I pass out.
