Mom and I are sitting in my bed. I check my phone, it's 10:30. "Mom, put on the TV."
She switches it on, and we watch FRIENDS for a while. The adverts come on and there's a trailer for Nathaniel's new album.
"Wow," says mom, "Nathaniel's done so well for himself. I remember when you two were so cute together, having sleepovers and tea together."
"Pizza and chips." We both chorus and end up chuckling together.
I bite my lip.
"Right, I'm going to bed." She whispers breathless, climbing out of bed.
"Night." I say, she waves as she exits my room.
I turn over and get my phone out. I can't help but go onto Instagram and type in his name.
I look at over his account, unsurprised by the 10 million screaming fangirls following him.
Clicking onto his pictures I see one of him and his celebrity friends on a beach another of his new album cover and one of his live concert. My mouth opens wide as I see the thousands of people in that stadium.
I click back onto his album cover – it's titled 'My Girl'. I scroll through the comment section seeing loads of teen girls tagging their friends and going slightly crazy. I ignore most of them until I see one which plants a seed in my head. It states 'Ooh, I wonder who the girl is?'
Who could the girl be?
