Like every ordinary winter, today was one of those ordinary days when you'd just sit and do nothing really. Since the whole Whammy were spending their holiday with the fall of the first speck of snow, a break from your academics was likewise, approved.
In a heaven like room, white-ness all over, you were seated on a double-sized bed. While spacing out thinking, neither exactly bored nor interested.
Though soon you've come back to your senses when one of the familiar dice, rolling, came in contact with your toes.
You traced the room to realise your eyes have been already lingering on the snow figure scooped at some distance from you. As always, playing with his beloved puzzles and dice on the permanent location... The rooms' floor.
By watching him playing with the dice like a small kid, you couldn't help but smile softly.
You still can't believe he was with you all these seven years.
When you chimed through the glimpses of your first meeting, honestly, you thought it wasn't that of a big achievement to get to know an albino, and how he would agree to converse with you after, yet as to your surprise, you enjoyed his company and got used to his rebel behaviours. He was too unique for you...you decided to treasure him further.
While swimming in the sea of thoughts, Near noticed you being accommodated with yourself, and a whim took over him, as he shifted his position towards your direction and a smile tugged his lips.
From all these years living with you, he knew where the chain of thoughts would take you to. "Y/n, are you alright?"
"Huh?" That is when you snapped out of your thoughts and felt your cheeks warm up.
"Y/n... your cheeks are pinkish..are you okay?" He said, a little too seriously.
He was teasing you. You felt the so called 'butterfliers' churning your stomach and looked at him, seriously. You both began to smile at each other ridiculously in response.
No mater how much he teased you and 'seriously' you hate it... but you always feel special and blessed that you're the only one, who gets this side of Near.
"Do you perhaps remember how we met?"
Near nodded subtly.
"Yes. Not when it's about the beauty before me,"
Your heart skipped a beat.
"That was the day... I met the love of my life." He strode closer, took your hand delicately and you felt his soft warm lips press on the back of your palm.
Your hands then cupped his cheeks. "It's getting colder... Perhaps you want to have something warm to eat?" Your voice is filled with pure fondness.
"Coffee?" He smiled at you and kissed your hand.
Smiling back, you muttered an "alright".
"I'll be right back..." You got up and went to the kitchen to make coffee for both of you. Coffee was appreciated by the both of you.
When the hot water had absorbed enough coffee beans, adding milk and 2 sugar cubes, you returned to Near holding two matching mugs.
"Well, I hope that'll help." You passed one mug and sat next to him.
Near frowned as he shook his head.
Worrying, you asked, "What's wrong ne- "
Before you would finish the sentance, he pulled you and made you sit on his lap.
"Now that's right." near exclaimed happily like a five-year-old child recieving his asked toy.
You went along with his tactics and adjusted yourself comfortably on his lap.
"Y/n.." near uttered softly, his voice being only audible to you.
"Near?"
"Do you know why I love coffee?"
"Hmm?" you responded curiously.
Near wrapped his arms around you protectively as if you were his favourite teddy, and spoke.
"It's because this is how we met for the first time... that... we've been together since."
The string of your heart ringed with reminiscence. You still remember the chilling yet warm winter day, when you first asked near for a coffee to start a conversation that changed your life later on.
He squeezed you in his soothing embrace as he continued.
"You are the only reason which made my coffee... "
Near paused there for while, until, you turned back to look at him and asked.
"Coffee what?"
He gave you a bright angelic smile which was only reserved to you and only you...
"A sweet coffee."
The End.
