I walked into the building, heading to my work area. Damien was usually there before me so when I saw his desk empty, I was a little worried. I brushed it off though, I had been late many times, maybe he had just slept in.

However, when lunchtime came around and he still hadn't showed, I was really worried now. I picked up my lunch and headed to the filming area, maybe he had been filming all day. But when I got there, I only found Courtney, Olivia, Shayne and Spencer filming some gaming challenge thing.

Shayne noticed me and signaled the crew to take a minute since they were shifting between who was playing anyway. "What's up, Y/N?" He asked, standing up. That's when the rest of them noticed me.

"Uh has anyone seen Damien?" I asked, now wondering my I brought my lunch with me.

"He's home sick. He didn't text you?" Courtney said.

"No, I guess not. Uh thanks." I smiled and left them to continue filming.

I sat back down at my desk and finished my lunch. I decided to text Damien.

"Hey, Court said you were home sick? Hope you feel better." I hit send and set my phone back down. I continued working on editing the latest Every Blank Ever and heard my phone buzz.

"I could feel better if I had more medicine...would you mind stopping by the pharmacy and buying some? I would make my roommate do it but he's out." Damien must have been super sick asking me for help, he never liked to bother people if he could do something himself.

"Of course!" I texted back. I left work in about an hour so I waited until then and check my phone contacts for his address, just to make sure I had it right.

I left the parking lot and made my way to the store. I picked up a few things I thought he'd need then put the address into my phone GPS. I followed the directions and pulled into his driveway.

He told me he left the door open so I let myself in. Freyja and Zelda greeted me loudly at the door. I saw Damien on the couch with a blanket covering him. He looked pale and sweaty.

"Woah, you don't look so good." I walked to him and set the bag on the coffee table near him. "I'll get you some more water." I picked up the empty glass off the table and filled it with cold water.

I came back and gave it to him. He took some of the medicine that helps with fever. "Do you know your temperature?" I asked.

"Nah, it's not that bad." Damien said, waving his hand.

I put the back of my hand to his forehead. "Damien, you're burning up! Where do you keep your thermometer?"

He sighed, "In the cabinet above the coffee maker.

I went back into the kitchen and got the thermometer. I gave it to him and when it beeped I checked it. "Holy shit, you have a 101 degree fever. Should we get you to a doctor or something?"

He looked confused and looked at it for himself, sure enough I wasn't lying. "Uh, no not yet. I'll wait another day and if I don't get better I'll go." He shrugged.

I didn't feel right leaving him alone. "When's your roommate coming back?" I asked.

"Uh, a few days. He went to a wedding in Alaska. Why?"

Jesus, Damien. "I'm staying until you're better then."  I said.

"What no, you've done enough for me already you can go home and relax." He pleaded.

"No way. You're sick. Sick enough to ask someone for help, which you hate to do so I am not leaving you alone." I crossed my arms.

"Fine. I know I won't win, that the only reason I'm giving in." He took a sip of the water.
