"Aw... no one's tried to call me," Dazai pouted. "Guess the meeting went alright then."
He wandered down the street, with no destination set. The air smelled of baked bread and sweets. There was a new bakery opening today as Dazai recalled, and the sweets shop was just around the corner. The aroma made his stomach churn. But he did not want to spend his money on over-priced food, so he made his way out of that street.
Clutching his stomach, he looked down at the pavement and walked ahead when he suddenly bumped into someone.
"Oh- I'm sorry," Dazai apologized.
"N-No it's my ba-," the ginger haired man's eyes widened. "YOU!"
"Ohhh Chuuyaa," Dazai chorused. "What a reunion. Funny meeting you here."
"Shut up shithead!" Chuuya snapped. "What do you want? Can't you look at where you're walking, asshole! you could have seriously injured someone!"
"Aww is Chibi worried about me?"
"Hmph, who're you calling chibi, you bandage wasting device?! And I couldn't care less about you, I was worried about anyone else you'd put in danger."
"Ohh you were never good at lying," Dazai patted Chuuya's head, and Chuuya responded with a flying kick to Dazai's head, which he ducked.
Higuchi walked out from the shop behind them and made her way to the two, with someone else following behind.
"Chuuya-san," Higuchi called out. "The manager claimed to have let him leave as soon as his shift ended. And Eichi-san didn't return to work the next day."
"Tsk," Chuuya pushed Dazai away whom he had taken by the collar.
"What's happ-,"
"Dazai-san?" Dazai was cut off as Atsushi arrived at the scene with Kyouka. "So this is where you were? Everyone at the agency was wondering where you were."
"Really?" Dazai exclaimed. "So you all really were looki-."
"No," Kyouka assured him instantly.
"Chuuya-san, Higuchi-san," Atsushi said. "We are here to help with the investigation. Would you mind telling us what's happened so far?"
"Well you guys already know about our members who were attacked last week," Higuchi started. "But last night, director Mori-san was attacked too. The weapon used against him was a taser, only... after he was tased, he didn't feel any pain, instead he started seeing things."
"Seeing things?"
"The buildings started folding and he claimed it felt like he was being compressed to that small space. He walked into walls as he was trying to escape from that, proving for it to be an illusion only he could see."
"So we're checking this place out," Chuuya explained. "Coz some guy who works here is also an ability user, and he has the ability to change a person's mind to as if it were looking in several mirrors, much like what Mori-san saw."
"But, apparently, the guy is nowhere to be found huh?" Dazai interrupted.
"Yea..."
Dazai looked over Higuchi's shoulder, "who's that?"
A woman with a petite frame stood behind Higuchi. She had long brown hair and pale skin. Her green eyes matched the green polka dotted blouse she was wearing and black jeans. On the bottom of the right side of her mouth was a small mole. The woman batted her eyelashes nervously as everyone turned their heads towards her.
"She's with us," Chuuya claimed. "Hana-san was a janitor at Satou Enterprises, and yesterday she saw a former executive go somewhere, so she followed until he went down an alley. She'll be leading us there."
Dazai whistled, "okay then, seems like everything's sorted out. You kids have fun. Chuuya-kun don't do anything naughty to my precious colleagues okay?"
Dazai smiled and hopped away with his hands in his coat pocket.
"Tsk, bastard." Chuuya scoffed and followed the rest of the group who were being led by Hana.
