★ 𝚂𝙴𝚅𝙴𝙽 ★

"gio? you up?" i whispered looking around
"salma? yeah im up" he whispered back

i turned my phone's flash on so i can spot him between our friends unconscious bodies.

"get up" i said
"uh.. sure? where are we going? its like 3 am"
"i wanna smoke" i whispered quieter just in case

we tried to hop over their sleeping bodies but we both knew they were heavy ass sleepers so nothing is gonna wake them up. we made it to layla's back door and quickly left.

"finally" i smiled
"we lowkey need to hurry up, layla likes waking up early" he said and grabbed his board
"skatepark?" i asked
"yup"

we skated to the skatepark and sat on our bench. he pulled out the blunts. god i love weed. i snatched one from his hands and lit it up. i felt the smoke travel through my throat.

"best fucking feeling" i smiled and exhaled
"agreed. we should do this more often" he smiled at me.
"you already know im in" i smiled back

our short conversation ended there and we smoked in silence. it wasnt uncomfortable though i enjoyed it.

"are you ever gonna tell them that you smoke?" he suddenly spoke up
"i'll probably have to do it at some point." i shrugged
"yeah... you never told me why you hide it from them" i felt him staring at me as i looked at the straight forward and exhaled the smoke.
"i dont know, i never really wanted to reveal that side of me to them. they'll be disappointed with me. probably leave me or some shit" i sighed at the thought of it
"i get you but they're your friends. they're not supposed to leave you. plus everybody smokes weed nowadays" he chuckled trying to lighten up the mood.
"how'd you tell your friends?" i asked changing the subject
"never really had to go through that. we all tried weed at a party and got hooked" he shrugged
"lucky you" i smiled

the two teenagers continued smoking and laughing at each other's dumb jokes. salma was slightly high and gio was absolutely baked.

"fuck gio its like 5" i yelled.
"shit" he said in response.

we grabbed our boards and skated as fast as we can to layla's house. we quietly entered through her back door and slowly walked into the living room. of course gio had to trip over something.

"gio!" i whispered angerly
"sorry" he smiled and shrugged

i shook my head and laid down on the same spot. i wrapped myself with the blanket and made myself comfortable on the rug.

"night sal" gio spoke up.
"night galicia" i replied and drifted to sleep.

"hey sal"
"salma"
"SALMA" karim yelled shaking my body
"fuck im up!" i yelled angry
"about fucking time its 1pm" he said
"its not even that late" i groaned and got up.

everyone was staring at me but i couldnt spot gio.

"good morning guys" i yawned
"morning" they all replied and went back to focusing on whatever they were doing.
"where's gio?" i looked around
"still sleeping" celia said not looking up from her phone.

i smiled as i remembered last night or this early morning? i dont know. i enjoyed having gio around. he's a very chill guy honestly, i could see become closer and you already know i aint complaining.

"we're gonna head back home in five. go freshen up" eshana said.
"bathroom is the second door on your left and toothbrushes are in the drawer under the sink" layla said.
"thanks" i replied and went upstairs.

i walked through the hallway and found the bathroom. did all my personal hygiene as quick as i can and left. i was about to walk downstairs till i heard soft snoring coming from one of the rooms. i giggled knowing it was gio and went downstairs.

"ready?" i said
"yeah lets go" lucas said

i waved goodbye to the remaining 3 teenagers and we headed out the door skating to the house.

"guys im starving" i groaned and plopped on the couch
"i want sushi" eshana said
"im so down for sushi right now" i replied
"sushi it is." karim said
"i'll call gio and ask them if they wanna join" i said
they all nodded in approval.

he picked up on the second ring.
"hello?" he spoke on the other line.
"hey, its me salma" i said
"oh salma, hey when'd you guys leave?"
"not too long ago i would've told you but you were dead asleep"
he laughed "so whats up?"
"oh right i was wondering if you guys would join us for sushi in 30?"
"yeah we're down"
"we'll pick you guys up" i replied
"bet" he responded and ended the call.
